ネオンの夜、壁がしゃべり出す

15年前。廃墟ホテルの一室。
ブロックタイルに、ネオンがうっすら滲む。
大人は35を越え、なのに夜更けの悪ノリは相変わらずだ。
テーブルには紙コップ、床にはチョークの粉。
友だちがミックステープを差し込む。カシャッ。
ボリュームを上げると、空気が揺れて、埃が踊り出す。
壁を見た瞬間、スイッチが入った。
「ここに“あの巨大マシュマロ的なヤツ”を描こう。」
ユーモアで始めて、ストーリーで押す——正攻法だ。
線を引くたび、ザザッとVHSみたいに時間が巻き戻る。
僕らは壁と会話していた。
「いける、いける。今日は“名シーン”が撮れる日だ。」
二晩のオール。砂糖菓子みたいな落書きは、朝方に完成した。
床に座り込んで、ふざけ半分、本気半分。
「店にする？」「キーホルダーいける？」
写真を1枚、パシャッ。時代は関係ない。熱だけが写る。
音とアート、そして仲間。
その三つで、廃墟はステージになる。
ネオンが消えかける前に言っておこう。

When the Wall and the Night Speak
It was fifteen years ago. I was living in a hotel that had fallen into ruin.
A man well past thirty-five, living in a place like that—it sounds a little ridiculous, I know.
Call it the life of a social misfit, a NEET, if you like. In a ghost hotel.
One night, as usual, my friends and I were up till morning, messing with the interiors just for fun.
I stared at the block-tile wall and thought, What if we painted the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters here?
When an idea lands, I move fast. Strike while the iron is hot.
We cranked the Ghostbusters theme to full volume.
In a space where sound mingled with something ghostlike in the air, we kept drawing—almost as if we were having a conversation with the wall.
I honestly thought, this might turn into something amazing.
We even joked about out-Michelangelo-ing him.
Before we knew it, we’d pulled two all-nighters.
In the end we sank to the floor and started talking, half serious:
Should we open a Ghostbusters shop? What about selling keychains?
Sound, art, and conversations with friends—those three turned an ordinary ruin into a special stage.
