“Did this go viral… worldwide?”
I took a short video of a tram during a
solo trip to Kagoshima back in
January.
Just a random moment. No plan, no
editing.
And now… it won’t stop getting views.

Over 430,000 plays on Facebook.
(As of May 4th, and still climbing.)
What surprised me most?
👉 Most of the viewers are from
outside Japan.

South America, Africa, the Middle
East…
Zanzibar… where is that even? 😅
The video is only 15 seconds long.
No cuts, no effects. Just real footage:
the lever movement, the sound,
the bilingual announcements,
and a passing tram at just the right
moment.
Somehow, everything lined up perfectly.
I uploaded the same video to
YouTube…
👉 Only about 2,000 views there.
Funny how that works.
I’ve been getting comments in
languages I can’t even read.
Russian, Arabic… all kinds.
But with a little help from my AI
partner,
I’ve been replying back.
Not just translating—
it even helps me understand the tone
and feeling behind the words.
Now I’m casually chatting with
someone in Cairo
like we’ve known each other for
years.
It really makes me think—
👉 Maybe the “distance” between
people and cultures
is disappearing faster than we
realize.
What started as a random clip
turned into something unexpectedly…
global.
And honestly?
I’m just enjoying the ride. 😊
