April 4, 2024: PerfectionïŒå®å šãå®ç§ïŒ
The other day, I read an article by Coucou-san on the blog site note. It says that nothing in our world is perfect, and it is more than good enough to reach one-third. It reminded me that my English teacher at university used to say the same thing. When we read an English book in one of his English lessons, we found the word perfect in the book. Then, he said nothing is perfect in our world, and the word should not be used so easily. I was surprised that he was so passionate about it. At that time, I could not fully understand what he liked to say. But after I began to work, I understood what he had said well.
As he says, I have seen nothing perfect in our world. Everything in our world is intricately interwoven each other so that it is hard to find anything simple and straightforward. So it is better not to look for or expect anything perfect. In other words, no perfection is in our world. It matters to try to do anything perfectly, but it is hard or almost impossible to do something perfectly. It is even worse to focus too much on doing something perfectly. Instead, it matters to focus on doing your best at everything and, more importantly, to compliment yourself on what you have done. Even if you have only achieved a small part of your goal, it matters to heal and not to criticise yourself. It is much more important to have dialogues with yourself and to convince yourself. That is the key to surviving the world with no perfection. Otherwise, you will lose yourself and fall into the depths of despair.
