今週末、100人以上の人々が国会議事堂に集まり、記念すべきフリーダムコンボイの1周年を祝いました。

土曜日には、ウェリントンに椅子を設置してはいけないと警察官が告げたり、雪囲いから旗を撤去したりと、何度か緊張が走ったようです。また、デモ参加者とカウンターの抗議者の間で口論が起こり、抗議者がメガホンで参加者をたたく場面も見られました。

Save Canadaという組織の一員である2人のティーンエイジャーが、Parliamentary Protective Serviceと口論になり、逮捕されました。当局によると、土曜日には合計で117枚の駐車違反切符と47枚の州犯罪法の切符を切り、19台の車をレッカー移動させたという。
オタワ警察は木曜日のツイートで、「違法行為や、いかなる車道でも車両で交通の流れを妨害することは許されず、迅速かつ即座に対処する 」と警告しています。

一方、オタワ・バイ・ローは、特別な駐車規制を実施し、野外での焚き火、花火、スピーカーの無許可使用などの行為に対して重点的に取り締まることを約束した。
警察はCTVニュースに、土曜日のフリーダムコンボイ記念イベントには約200人が出席したと報告しました。また、日曜日には丘の上に群衆が集まりました。

一方、警察によると、日曜日の午後、小さな車列がオタワに入ったが、市外に誘導されたとのこと。
