英語の勉強（Why do you need free plastic bags?）

What I don't understand is why people insist on having so many free transparent plastic bags at supermarkets. They can bring their own reusable eco-bags, yet they want unlimited small ones to wrap slightly wet items like tofu, fish, eggs, and more.

You probably already have plenty of small free plastic bags stockpiled at home, so bring those with you when shopping.

If you need small garbage bags for your daily trash, use the packaging from your purchases - almost everything you buy is already wrapped, so save those instead. You can rinse them out if needed before storing or reusing them.

Supermarkets should charge for all plastic bags; that would encourage people to change their habits and figure out how to reuse the ones they already have. Governments should support supermarkets so they can introduce these charges without getting too many complaints from customers.
