Last Friday evening, after work, I made my way through the traffic-laden roads of Lagos to Surulere for one reason — to see Santan Dave perform live at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts (formerly known as the National Theatre, Nigeria). To close out his “The Boy Who Played the Harp” tour, he brought together Lagos fans for two days of high-energy performances featuring surprise appearances from Burna Boy, Oxlade and BOJ.
