Overall, the food was pretty good. The whole fried red snapper and the seafood rice was tasty. The seafood soup was a little bland. It's quite expensive compared to other restaurants around the area.

We were hoping to get a fried fish. We've gotten it all over south America and other countries as well and never had a bad experience, even in outside of resort spots in the Dominican Republic with sketchy cooking it was good.

This one was the worst we've ever tried.

The flavor was off and we can tell right away. Like they used old cooking oil or the wrong oil, it was hard and tasted bad. The fish was cooked right, and we can eat it, but it did taste bad. Plantains were good though.

What made it a worse experience is the service. They stated they used garlic. My brother in Christ, we know what garlic tastes like. We've been on this planet with you for a while now, we've tasted it. That wasn't garlic, that was bad oil. You could've just said nothing, or sorry, but garlic? Come on, we've got a tongue.

Anyhow. I wouldn't come back here again.

We had dinner at Snappers House last night. I’m a seafood lover and had a really high hope for this restaurant after reading the reviews. But our experience didn’t really deliver what other diners seemed to have had. We asked for recommendations but we were told that basically everything was good. So we shared mussels in garlic sauce which seemed to have been made with frozen Australian mussels and they were dry. For the main dish, I ordered grilled sea bass in a seafood sauce - I thought it was an unusual combination but sounded better than fish in avocado sauce. My husband had shrimps with rice. Both of them were not great. Especially, the rice in my husband’s dish was undercooked, there was too much butter taste, and he ended up leaving more than half of the food on the plate. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant has only outdoor seating facing a street, so you’d hear cars passing. Personally, I don’t think it was worth the price we paid.
