What is the Power of Us Foundation?

The Power of Us Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to destigmatizing homelessness and supporting people in Metro Detroit through compassion, awareness, and action. We work to connect individuals with resources like food, shelter, job opportunities, and mental health support while building a stronger, more inclusive community.

What makes your nonprofit different from others?

We focus not only on providing resources but also on changing the narrative around homelessness. Our mission is to humanize, empower, and uplift individuals.

Donations can be made directly through our website via a secure “Donate Now” button. We also accept contributions through platforms like Cash App, PayPal, and other safe methods.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes. As a registered nonprofit, your donations to the Power of Us Foundation are tax deductible. After donating, you’ll receive a receipt for your records.

How can I volunteer with the Power of Us Foundation?

We welcome volunteers to help with outreach events, fundraisers, resource fairs, and behind-the-scenes support. You can reach out to us directly through Instagram or by emailing us at powerofusfoundation@gmail.com to learn about opportunities and get involved.

How do you make sure donations are used responsibly?

We operate with full transparency. A portion of our budget goes to cover essential operations, but the majority directly funds programs, resources, and events that benefit individuals in need.

How can I learn about your impact?

We share updates, stories, and results through our website, social media platforms, and community events so supporters can see the real difference their contributions are making.
