What happens to practice if the weather is bad?

BEFORE PRACTICE: If it rains, the wellness center has devices that can wipe off the water puddles that were on the court. If there’s lightning, we will need to wait and confirm that lighting is more than 10 miles away from FIU. All official weather updates will be posted by 7:30pm from the safety officer on our WhatsApp Community Chat. DURING PRACTICE: If it begins to rain, players will need to step off the court and wait for an update to determine if it's either safe to resume practice or cancel practice for the day. If there is a lightning strike within 10 miles of FIU, practice will be canceled for the rest of the day.

After I sent an email to the club, when should I expect a response?

Please allow us up to 72 business hours to respond to your email. Our business days ARE NOT on weekends or holidays. However, we may respond on the weekend depending if our team is looking at our inbox during that time.

How often does the roster get updated?

We update our roster by every Wednesday 8PM.

Is there a place where I can see if I'm in the roster or not?

We will post the roster on Google Sheets for players to know who is on the roster. If you don't see yourself on the roster but you know you got accepted into the club, message an E-Board member or email us at fiutennisclub@gmail.com

What if I am unsure about paying the semester fee, and I want to see how the club works before paying?

We can grant you a free trial week by completing the first 2 steps (Request Membership via Panther Connect & Complete the Membership Form). Once done, please email us at fiutennisclub@gmail.com and ask us that you'd like to receive a free trial week. Once your free trial week is over, you must pay the $30 semester fee in order to remain in the club. However, we will only have this option available during the first 2 weeks of practice, and you must be a new member of the club or you were not a member of the club the prior semester. All members that were in the club the prior semester aren't permitted a free trial week, and you must pay the semester fee to remain in the club.
