Hi, we’re Skyy and Robert, the husband-and-wife team behind Tasty’z Messy Soul Kakes, and the proud parents of nine amazing children.

We’re creating this GoFundMe for one simple reason, we’re ready to grow.

Tasty’z Messy Soul Kakes was born from faith, family, and a decision to make the most out of the life God has given us.

Years ago, my life changed after experiencing a serious pulmonary embolism. That experience shifted my perspective completely. It reminded me that life is precious, time isn’t promised, and sometimes you have to have enough faith to step away from what’s comfortable and build what God placed inside of you.

After 13 years at my job, my husband and I eventually stepped out on faith. In 2023, we purchased our food trailer and began building Tasty’z Messy Soul Kakes.

No big investors. No major corporation behind us. Just a husband, a wife, nine children, a whole lot of faith, and some really good cake.

And we built something special.

Our family business grew into food trailer events, pop-ups, catering opportunities, school and community events, and Thousands of amazing customers. What began as an idea became a brand and a community that people genuinely connected with.

Recently, our family took another leap of faith and relocated roughly 900 miles from Texas to Georgia. With that move came an opportunity to introduce Tasty’z Messy Soul Kakes to an entirely new community while continuing to build on everything we created in Texas.

Now, we’re ready for the next chapter, expansion.

This fundraiser isn’t about saving our business or helping us through a crisis. We’re blessed, we’re working, and we’re continuing to build. We’re simply inviting our family, friends, customers, supporters, and anyone who believes in our story to help us accelerate the vision.

Our goal is to expand our production capacity, upgrade equipment, create professional shipping and packaging systems, increase our ability to cater larger events, and most importantly, begin shipping Tasty’z Messy Soul Kakes so people across the country can finally experience what we’ve created.

We constantly hear, “Do you ship?”

We want the answer to finally be yes.

Every contribution will help us take the next step toward purchasing the equipment, packaging, shipping materials, testing, supplies, and other resources needed to safely and professionally grow.

And here’s what makes this dream so personal to us.

Our nine children are watching.

They’re watching Mom and Dad build something from the ground up. They’re seeing what faith looks like when it’s paired with hard work. They’re learning that sometimes you don’t wait for someone to hand you an opportunity. You create one.

That’s why we always say, “It’s bigger than cake.”

The cake may be what brings people to us, but family, laughter, faith, love, community, and purpose are what we hope they leave with.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re even more excited about where we’re going.
