This is the first release in four years. LightDM is now maintained by @jpeisach and @Conan-Kudo . Thank you to @robert-ancell , for all of his hard work over the years!

The purpose of this release is primarily to make a tag of all the fixes racked up since 1.32.0, and take care of some sitting PRs. There should not be any breaking changes nor changes to any dependencies, so existing systems can upgrade. The main notable addition is Qt6 support. Qt5 will continue to be available.

If you're interested in contributing to LightDM, chat with us on Matrix! Signing the Canonical CLA is no longer a requirement. However, we do ask that pull requests opened for bug fixes provide a way to reproduce the problem being solved.
