Shim MCP 1.1.0. WordPress.org serves 1.0.2; this release covers everything since. 1.0.3 was merged but never released.
New
- Install plugins from the WordPress.org directory by slug with
shim-mcp/plugins-install. URLs, file paths and uploaded archives are still refused, and the plugin is left inactive until you activate it. (#3) - Translatable: every ability label and description, the dashboard, and the WP-CLI command now use the
shim-mcptext domain. (#4) - Stdio setup guide for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor on macOS, Linux and Windows. Every example is exercised against a real site, and CI keeps them honest. (#2)
Fixed
- Ability results return values exactly as stored. They were HTML-escaped (
Rock & Rollcame back asRock & Roll). (#9) - Posts keep iframes, embeds, scripts and block markup for users with
unfiltered_html. Backslashes in post, page and media content, including block attributes, are no longer stripped. (#11) - stdio keeps STDOUT for JSON-RPC only (#6), and no longer exits after an idle socket timeout (#7).
- String JSON-RPC ids work end to end (#10), and both transports validate messages identically (#16).
- Streamable HTTP returns 202 for notifications and 404 for unknown or expired sessions (#8).
- HTTP sessions are concurrency-safe, scoped per site on multisite, and carry the session-size safeguards from mcp-adapter 0.6.2 (#12).
initializeadvertises only implemented capabilities (#18), andresources/templates/listis answered (#19).tools/listdescriptors match the MCP Tool schema. Thanks @mikemikimike (#21).- The dashboard never exports a revoked or placeholder credential (#15); there are no duplicate ability-category notices (#13); and the docs and metadata are correct (#5).
Development
Runtime smoke tests plus GitHub Actions CI on WordPress 6.9/PHP 8.0, latest/PHP 8.5 and multisite (#1). The release build now fails if a file cannot be archived (#20).
