The first preview of the global edition of Jev: an English reply copilot for WhatsApp on Android, built by @smgonthebeat. It reads the chat on screen, works out what the other person wants, drafts two replies, checks and scores them, and fills the one you pick into the message box. You press send.

What's new

• Five scenes (Work, Romance, Friends, Family, General) with relationship types. A reply to your manager and one to a close friend are judged differently.
• Pick how you want to respond, add any detail (a new date, an amount), and Jev turns it into a goal with required items and things to avoid.
• Two drafted replies, each checked against your goal and scored out of 5. Only a reply that passes every check can be "Top pick".
• Reads up to 24 recent messages by scrolling back through the chat, with "Read further back" for more.

Privacy and safety

• Requests go to OpenRouter with your own key. No server of ours, no analytics.
• Chat text is not stored on the phone. The diagnostic log has no chat text.
• Jev only writes into WhatsApp's message box. It never presses send.

Known limitations

• WhatsApp for Android (com.whatsapp), one-to-one chats in English only. Group chats are refused; WhatsApp Business is not supported.
• Tested on one phone with WhatsApp 2.26.38.73. A WhatsApp update can break reading until the adapter is updated.
• Using an assistant inside WhatsApp may not comply with WhatsApp's terms of service, and your account could be restricted. Decide for yourself whether to use it.

Install

• Download jev-whatsapp-v0.1.0-release.apk below. Android 11 or later, any CPU.
• It is a separate app from the Chinese edition (package com.jev.overseas), so both can be installed on the same phone.

中文说明：Jev 海外版第一个预览版，英文界面，先支持 WhatsApp 一对一聊天，由 @smgonthebeat 开发。它读取屏幕上的聊天，判断对方要什么，起草两条回复并逐条检查打分，把你选的那条填进输入框，发送由你自己点。模型请求只发到你自己配置的 OpenRouter，聊天内容不在手机上保存。和国内版是两个独立的 App，可以同时安装。

新增

• 支持 WhatsApp 一对一聊天（测试中）：读取聊天、判断、候选回复、填入整条链路。群聊不读；WhatsApp 里不截屏。读取规则来自 @smgonthebeat（#73）。
• 分析结果改成一张常驻小卡片：收起时只显示风险等级和对方意图，点标题展开看完整分析和候选回复，再点收起。卡片可以拖到屏幕任意位置，每个 App 分别记住位置。
• 候选回复下方新增「换一组」：判断不变，只重新生成一组候选，不会和上一组重复。
• 设置里可以选候选回复条数（1 / 2 / 3 条）；只要 1 条时不做排序，出得更快。
• 判断接口新增「Vercel」「OpenCode Zen」两个预设。

改进

• 只有对方发来新消息才重新分析。上下翻聊天记录不会清空卡片、不会重新分析，也不会弹来弹去；更新时旧结果先留着，标题旁显示已等待的秒数。
• 候选回复的语言跟随对方：对方说英文就用英文回复。
• 判断和回复各自最多等 30 秒，超时就停下并给出「重试」。
• 无障碍服务的注册名称改为 Jev 自己的名称。
• 截屏识别更流畅（感谢 @ahxoeh）；兼容更多中转网关（感谢 @xuancanhit99）。

修复

• 候选回复偶尔一直显示「生成中」。
• QQ 群聊上下滚动时分析面板卡成空白。

已知限制

• 从 v1.4 或更早版本升级后，需要到系统设置里重新打开一次 Jev 助手的无障碍开关。
• 隐藏界面内容或禁止截屏的 App 不支持；界面目前只有中文。
• 在第三方聊天 App 里使用可能不符合其用户协议，账号有被限制的风险，请自行判断。

安装

• 下载下方附件 jev-assistant-v1.7-release.apk，Android 11 及以上，arm64 机型。装过旧版的可以直接覆盖安装，设置和密钥都会保留。
