@thealio Thank you for reporting the issue! Would you mind to provide a few more details, such as what you tried and what didn't work? Also, what hardware are you using, logs, etc.? What did you fix and how? Which XLibre packages are missing from Void Linux? |

Hi @callmetango I think that the probem is the following. I've added the repo, following the instruction at https://codeberg.org/RotaryBoot58/vpim On the xlibre void repo, there are only the following packages (that, of course, overwrote the xorg's respective packages ) Installing only those packages made the system absolutely unresponsive at the reboot , the only solution was going chroot and reinstalling xorg-server and xf86-input-libinput . I'm using Void on qemu from an Arch desktop machine Xlibre had no issues on Artix and Arch , both on real metal and virtual machines , also on Debian based VMs xlibre is stable |

@thealio can you give me further details and informations? when the system became unusable after reboot just reinstalling xorg-server or xf86-input-libinput fixed everything or did you had to do something more? I'm testing these packages on two computers and a friend is also helping me, I wasn't able to replicate so any further details would be really helpful. |

I noticed the discussion regarding packaging stability and dependencies. I maintain my own personal Void repository and I have specifically packaged X11Libre for my daily use. I took a slightly more minimal approach:
In my experience, libinput is sufficient for almost all input devices (keyboards, mice, touchpads) on modern setups, effectively replacing evdev and synaptics. It works stable for me without the need for a complex dependency chain or the legacy input drivers meta-package. |

Hi everybody @callmetango @RotaryBoot58 @Jipok BTW, There are also other guys packaging xlibre on void |

Hi @RotaryBoot58 , and thank you , cleaning the cache worked However, the session works unitil lghtdm appears, after I put my username & pass for the login, the xfce4session doen't load the desktop, and forcefully push me back again to lightdm Very weird |

Hi
On Void external repo (the one on codeberg) is really bad, uncomplete and buggy
Xlibre installation using this Void repisitory made the system so unstable that I had to fix via chroot
The xlibre packages that should be available are the ones packaged on Arch external repo
https://x11libre.net/repo/arch_based/x86_64/
Those works good
Cheers
