Motivation for the change, related issues
The Xdebug getting-started guide is missing the optional PhpStorm settings already documented in examples/xdebug/ide/README.md by merged PR #3075.
Implementation details
Adds a short PhpStorm troubleshooting subsection beneath IDE integration in English, Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR), French, and Spanish. The localized guides preserve the exact PhpStorm setting labels and their existing English-source comments. It explains when to disable the two forced first-line pauses and the notification for sessions that finish without pausing, while keeping correct path mappings and enabled breakpoints as prerequisites.
Clarifies that when the notification setting is disabled and no breakpoint is hit, PhpStorm executes the script without pausing or establishing a debugging session.
Verified all three setting names and behaviors against JetBrains' current debug settings reference. The notification group is now labeled âAdvanced settingsâ there; the guide includes that label alongside âSettingsâ from the examples.

The announcement post is outside this repository and is not available through the connected WordPress account. Insert the text below at the end of its PhpStorm subsection, before Running Xdebug with PHP-WASM CLI.
PLAYGRD-475 is In Review. Keep it open until this PR is merged and the announcement update is explicitly resolved.
Optional PhpStorm troubleshooting
If PhpStorm pauses on the first line of unmapped files or scripts outside your project, go to Settings > PHP > Debug > Xdebug and disable:
To suppress notifications for requests that do not hit a breakpoint, disable Notify if debug session was finished without being paused under Settings > PHP > Debug > Settings (called Advanced settings in the current JetBrains documentation).
When the notification setting is disabled and no breakpoint is hit, PhpStorm runs the script without pausing or establishing a debugging session.
These optional settings suppress unwanted pauses or notifications. Correct path mappings and enabled breakpoints in the code you want to debug are still required. See JetBrainsâ debug settings reference and the PhpStorm examples.
