• Fixed the local bridge startup crash reported in #21, where the native host could exit immediately with missing @napi-rs/canvas / DOMMatrix errors.
• Lazily loads pdf-parse only during PDF text extraction and installs minimal non-rendering DOMMatrix, ImageData, and Path2D globals when the runtime does not provide them.
• Improved extension smoke test reliability by using the installed playwright-core CLI locally and Chrome for Testing in CI.
• Allows the localized Chinese summarize-current-page smoke prompt.

Validation:

• Merged #25 after green GitHub Actions checks on Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows.
• Ran npm run typecheck, npm run test, npm run build, npm run release:audit, npm run audit, npm run package:webstore, and npm run package:public locally.
• Verified the packaged local bridge bundle starts without the DOMMatrix startup crash.

• Added a General setting to disable the page image hover button when users do not want the overlay.
• Documented the supported Codex CLI requirement as @openai/codex 0.130.0 or newer in all README locales.
• Rebuilt the local bridge package with a CommonJS-compatible bundled launcher and import.meta URL fallback, fixing Windows native host exits such as Dynamic require of fs is not supported.
