Bana, a close partner of Adore, is selected as an external recipient, and Bana's CEO, Min Hee-jin, and SM have a long-standing 'relationship'
The second truth battle between Min Hee-jin, CEO of Adore, and Hive has begun. While CEO Min claims that Hive illegally acquired a “large amount of KakaoTalk data, including shaman conversation records” using PC forensics, Hive claims that CEO Min himself sent the KakaoTalk data to a “high-ranking official of Company B” at an external partner company using a “Hybe business” email account, and the data ended up remaining on the server.
Among these, there is also a lot of interest in external partner B, to which CEO Min sent a large amount of KakaoTalk data. Some believe that Beasts & Natives (BANA, hereinafter referred to as Bana), which has maintained a close business partnership with CEO Min and Adore, is likely to be Company B.
The reason why Bana is considered as 'Company B' is because of the long relationship between Bana's CEO and CEO Min. Bana is a record label led by a CEO who came from SM Entertainment's artist and album planning and production (A&R).
It is said that CEO Min and CEO B have known each other since their time at SM Entertainment and are very close. When CEO Min was a registered director at SM Entertainment, SM Entertainment also directly invested in Bana, continuing their relationship.
Even after Min moved to Hive, his close collaboration with BANA continued. This is because BANA is a company that is in charge of producing and writing songs for New Jeans, a singer under Adore. Krystal (real name Jung Soo-jung), a former member of girl group f(x), known as Min’s muse, is also with BANA.
Composer '250 (real name Lee Ho-hyung),' who composed and arranged New Jeans' representative songs such as 'Attention,' 'Hype Boy,' and 'Ditto,' is also affiliated with BANA. New Jeans' new song 'Bubble Gum' was also led by BANA. Incidentally, 'Bubble Gum' is also suspected of plagiarizing British band Shaka Tak's 'Easier Said Than Done.'
Meanwhile, Top Daily attempted to contact Bana through her official social network service (SNS) account and main number (according to the corporate credit analysis report) regarding various suspicions, but was unable to receive a response.
Prior to this, CEO Min filed a complaint with the police against the executives of Hive, Adore's parent company. On the 24th, CEO Min released a statement and announced that he had filed a complaint with the police against five Hive executives for obstruction of business, electronic record content detection, information and communications network infringement, and defamation.
According to the statement, the subjects of the lawsuit include CEO Park Ji-won, Audit Committee Chairman Lim Su-hyeon, Chief Legal Officer Jeong Jin-su, Chief Financial Officer Lee Gyeong-jun, and Chief Communications Officer Park Tae-hee.
Hive refuted this through a statement of its position, saying, "We have never forensically examined Representative Min's laptop PC," and "Representative Min sent a large amount of work data, including transcripts of conversations with a shaman, to an outside party (a high-ranking official from Company B) using his Hive work email account, and this remained on our server."
