Faster DNS with dns_erlang ⚡

News

Our DNS servers now use 12% less CPU per query and handle 14% more queries per second, without a single line of C. We rewrote the hot paths in dns_erlang, the open-source library that decodes and encodes every query on our origin name servers. Name compression for long names is now more than 20x faster, and the same techniques made it upstream into Erlang/OTP and Elixir. Read more on our blog

Domain Trustee now available

News

With DNSimple's new Domain Trustee feature, register country-code and restricted TLDs from anywhere, no local address required.

Many country-code TLDs like .COM.BR, .NO, .EU, and .KR require registrants to have a local presence. Domain Trustee removes that barrier. A compliant local contact satisfies the registry's eligibility requirements on your behalf while you keep full ownership and control of the domain in your DNSimple account.
