There’s a couple things wrong with the app first off. There is no theater mode like there is using other alternative apps. Also, there’s no auto dim selection as other people also mentioned the quality is a bit low when watching in spatial mode and there seems to be some sort of issue with the app currently on the newest visionOS update. These are honestly things that can be fixed quite easily I hope they work on it

Very frustrating that windows can’t be made smaller

It’s an okay app, but extremely frustrating that it sets the min-height & min-width so large for videos. This makes it super inconvenient to try to put videos alongside other work, since the video is always forced to be 5+ ft wide. This seems like such an easy fix, just tweak two parameters in the Swift window configs! It’s also way too easy to lose one’s place in a video, and then become very hard to get back to the video. But at least this can be learned to avoid…

For some reason when watching the spatial or 360 or 3-D videos the quality is absolutely terrible. It looks like I’m watching this in 260p. Even when trying to change the streaming resolution, it doesn’t change anything I can go up or down and quality in the video still looks the exact same. I’m not sure if this is intentional or if this is a bug, but it looks absolutely terrible.

Nice update and appreciated for making the view window much larger. That was much needed. Definitely increasing the polish of the app is appreciated. About the only thing that would be nice to see is the ability to respond to comments or make comments, and/or the ability to use Gemini to see summaries like you now can on Apple TV. To see Google working on this. It’s nice.

This release includes: • VisionOS 27 compatibility issues. • Smoother Shorts & 360 video playback: Fixed an issue where Shorts would freeze on the first video, and improved stability for 360-degree video playback when opening external links. • Browse & navigation polish: Resolved overlapping scrollbars across Browse pages and enlarged buttons like channel reporting and subscriptions for easier selection.
