I've been putting this 16kg Amazon Basics kettlebell through its paces for just under a year now, mainly for various exercises around the house. It's a solid bit of kit, especially considering the price point – I was honestly expecting something a bit less substantial. The finish has held up well, though I reckon it would chip pretty easily if it were regularly dropped on concrete. The grip is comfortable and well-sized, allowing for both single and double-handed use, which is a real plus for different movements. The base is properly flat, so it stands perfectly upright without any wobbling, making it stable for exercises like renegade rows. It feels well-balanced and the quality is surprisingly good; it certainly punches above its weight class. My main niggle, and it’s a minor one, is that I’d love to see Amazon expand the weight range beyond 20kg. If they did, I'd definitely be adding more to my collection. This is a genuinely good option for anyone looking for a dependable kettlebell for home use.

This kettlebell is a really solid bit of equipment. The cast iron construction feels durable and well made, and the painted finish has held up well with regular use. The wide, textured handle provides a secure grip, even during longer workouts.

What I like most is how versatile it is. It’s obviously great for classic kettlebell movements, but it can also mimic many dumbbell exercises, which makes it ideal if you’re short on space and want one piece of kit that can do a lot. I’ve used it for swings, goblet squats, presses, rows, and more without any issues.

Simple, sturdy, and great value for money. Perfect for home workouts whether you’re just starting out or adding to an existing setup. Highly recommended. 💪

Weight is fairly accurate (I have two). The handle is a good thickness and they’ve never rusted in the years I’ve had them.

They are comfortable, but word of warning they don’t quality check these kettlebells thoroughly. Both had rough cast joints on the handles, which feel sharp to the hand. A small metal file sorted this and now they are spot on for the price.

I'm happy with this purchase and have had no issues with it. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

I recently purchased the Amazon Basics Cast Iron Kettlebell and have been using it for a few weeks. Here’s a detailed review of my experience:

Pros:

Durable Construction: The cast iron build of this kettlebell ensures it is extremely durable and capable of withstanding rigorous workouts. It feels solid and robust, which is reassuring during intense exercise sessions.

Comfortable Grip: The handle of the kettlebell is well-designed with a smooth, powder-coated finish that provides a comfortable grip. It’s large enough to accommodate both hands if needed, making it versatile for various exercises.

Affordable Pricing: Compared to other kettlebells on the market, the Amazon Basics version is reasonably priced, making it a cost-effective choice for those looking to add a kettlebell to their home gym without breaking the bank.

Versatile Use: This kettlebell is suitable for a wide range of exercises, including swings, squats, and snatches. It’s a great addition for both beginners and more experienced fitness enthusiasts.

Cons:

Limited Weight Options: The Amazon Basics Cast Iron Kettlebell comes in a limited range of weights, which may not cater to all fitness levels. If you’re looking for a specific weight not offered, you might need to consider other options.

Finish Quality: While the kettlebell is generally well-made, some users have reported minor imperfections in the finish or casting. This doesn’t affect its performance but might be noticeable if you’re concerned about aesthetics.

Space for Storage: The design of the kettlebell might make it a bit cumbersome to store, especially if you have limited space. Its shape and weight mean it needs a dedicated spot to avoid accidents.

Conclusion:

The Amazon Basics Cast Iron Kettlebell is a solid choice for anyone looking for a durable and affordable kettlebell for their home workouts. Its sturdy construction and comfortable grip make it effective for a variety of exercises. While the limited weight options and minor finish imperfections might be drawbacks for some, the overall value and functionality make it a worthwhile purchase. If you’re seeking a reliable kettlebell without a hefty price tag, this one fits the bill nicely.

I am rebuilding fitness after almost two years when I was unable to exercise. I did not think I needed a kettlebell because I had dumbells. However, so many people recommended a kettlebell that I thought I should try one at the reasonable price.

I am very pleased. My 10kg kettlebell is very compact whereas the dumbells can get in the way. That makes it easy to store with easy access whenever I want to exercise. I like the range of exercises that are possible. I chose the Amazon Basics model because it is cast iron, and hence smaller than less dense materials encased in plastic.

I am making good progress and will be buying a heavier one sooner than expected.

Perfect!

Perfect for the price

Serves its purpose

I've been using this kettlebell a few times a week since purchasing and have had no issues with unfinished areas rubbing against my hands during use, (which I've experienced with other cheap products) but I can't fault these. Great price point and quality product.

Can't fault this!
