Bought this monitor as I was going back to college and at home Im used to using a 34i" monitor. So I needed a monitor just as big.

LG is a reputable brand for its TVs and it's monitors and has always had my trust and obviously is very reliable. I would buy LG over Samsung when it comes to monitors because I've previously owned Samsung monitors and all of them broke down first before the LG ones.

This monitor when purchasing it at the time was a steal. The price you pay for 32" monitor and bigger are almost 2-3x more in price but the size of this monitor is comparable to those ones. This monitor is also great for students because as mentioned before is big enough for multi-tasking. It is big but small enough that it can be transported very easily unlike bigger monitors. The quality of this monitor is fantastic and the specs are almost as good as the higher spec. monitors. Just remember you get what you pay for. If you want a higher quality monitor (ie. higher refresh rates, bigger size, 4K vs OLED) you will pay a premium for it This monitor is good for what it can do.

My only dislike about this monitor is that the height cannot be adjusted. But for me it is not a deal breaker.

I really love the ultrawide monitors. I am a believer in them! I initially bought the previous years lower model (29WP500-B). I ended up returning it and getting these on sale. These are the newest 29" widescreen models. I bought 2 of these to replace my two side by side 24" monitors. It was a big upgrade as the screen space is so much more than my previous monitors. As an accountant, it really helps with my work since there's more space for my spreadsheets. It has HDR10 so the colours are amazing when enabling HDR. There's also a picture setting on the monitor to enable HDR picture mode. I'm definitely treating my eyes for sure!

I love the bezel less design as it matches my LG TV and monitors. It has one HDMI input, one DisplayPort input, one USB-C input, and one headphone out. It also has 2 7W internal speakers.

It comes with a power plug that is slimmer than the previous model, a white HDMI cable, and the stand. I have these mounted side by side so I didn't use the stand. It's easy to assemble on the stand though as it's just two screws and the cap to cover it.

I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an ultrawide screen. As a heads up, check your wires to see if they support HDR and widescreen resolution since there's different HDMI versions. Also, if you're thinking about using an HDMI to DisplayPort converter, I have yet to find one that supports wide screen resolution. The ones I have and seen online only go up to 1080p.

This monitor was a good addition to my already 29" inch screen to help carry our work from home. Its wide screen is big enough to multitasking and opening several screen at a time. So far I've had no complains and love LG branded monitors. They're well priced to competition so you dont end up paying too much. These products dont go anywhere and are expected to last for very long as the older screen was bought used.

Already a big plus with it being an IPS. However in modern times, other types are also becoming more advanced that IPS might not be the king anymore so keep that in mind. But still better than the old VA monitor I had which if I sat at an angle, it was pitch black lol.

100Hz is still good but based on my 144Hz+ friends, 120Hz is when they saw the most significance. We're just slightly short but it's alright for what we pay even though this wasn't entirely designed for gaming. You can already guess that this was more of a productivity work kind of monitor with it's widescreen. It does serve it's purpose in both fields. I like being able to see a wider field in my games as that feels more natural and realistic.

Surprisingly the games I've played have 2560x1080p support and it's becoming more frequent now which is great. It's a little more sharper but not as sharp as a 1440p. You'll see the pixels but there's a calculator that can determine by the angle of your vision and the distance you sit away from your monitor if you'll see the pixels.

PPI is lacking. Its far under from best.

It's pretty flat and not curved for an ultra wide monitor which kinda sucks but negligible for me. The profiles are good. I like the reader mode for my sensitive eyes and HDR can be a hit or miss.

We get a joystick to control the profiles, volume/mute, accessibility mode, and power on/off. It's cool but could be smoother to navigate with.

You can barely change the angle of the monitor. The stand makes it spacious to put stuff in front of the monitor like of you're eating a meal. It has a power brick which my old monitor did not have. A USB C connection which can display Apple devices on the monitor I read, and can recharge your devices which is my favourite feature for a phone user so I don't always forget before I leave for work.

Price seemed ok, and specs promising.

Major deception. I purchased two of these to update my audio workstation. Gave away my old displays, and can't afford to get anything else prior to return date limit, and can't go without displays to work with.

Both monitors have a brightness flickering issue, both while browsing websites and in my working applications. I don't know what causes it, but it's infuriating. Trying to find a solution to my conundrum. I've owned many LG products, these monitors are the first ever LG products to disappoint, but these have done so in spades.

I do not recommend these. Getting one unit with a problem, I could deal with, but both unit are awful.

They are hooked to a I9 sporting a 3080.

At this price point this display is a great buy. Especially it works with my MacBook Air M3 using a ThunderBolt 4 USB C Cable. As well as my MacBook Air M1 with ThunderBolt 3 cable.

A few things I love about this display.

- Matte display

- USB-C for ThunderBolt enable devices (MacBook with M1, M2 or M3)

- Supports up to 100hz

Overall I don't think there is any much to complain for this $200 CAD UltraWide display.

Had this monitor for about a month now, and I've been pleased. I only have an RTX2060, so the Freesync compatibility is nice but imo not a factor if you have anything more powerful. This doesnt really feel like a gaming monitor, even though the adjustable black level is super nice for dark FPS games; it isn't really tall enough. If this hadn't been available for such a great price I would rather go with a 34" or larger for 21:9/2.35:1 video. It IS really nice to watch movies on in the original theatrical format! (Lots of streaming services letterbox their ultrawide content on all four sides bur browser extensions are a very quick fix, fwiw!)

The overall brightness is sufficient for my small apartment with north facing windows, but if your PC area gets a lot of bright natural light this monitor will be drowned out easily. It gets like that with the sunrise when the light hits it for me. That said I don't have any problems with this monitor's brightness outside of that situation.

I'm happy with my purchase, and if your goal is productivity this is a no brainer at the price point. For gaming however a taller panel, even a regular 16:9 if you're on a budget, is a much better idea.

After more than a year of use, very happy with this monitor's quality. Good display and sound quality. One problem though is the stand. Although it hasn't toppled so far, it leaves me restless.

This 1080p UltraWide has outstanding picture quality and color reproduction. HDR10 really makes a difference for me with this monitor too. Many games just pop with HDR on and graphic setting tuned to tastes. This monitor sits at the ideal price point of getting the best you can get at 1080p minus the ultra high refresh rate of dedicated gaming monitors.

The only problem is now that I have gone ultra wide my next monitor purchase (hopefully well into the future) will have to be a 1440 or 4k at Ultra wide . Yup hopefully this will be years away when/if they come down to a reasonable price. The extra screen real estate of Ultra Wide made a lot of difference for me in my 3D productivity applications. It was a bit scary how quickly I became used to this wider form factor after so many years of using 1080p standard format monitors.

Games are so much more enveloping for me with the wide screen as they now almost fill my entire field of view. As a real world diver playing Subnautica on this monitor I sometimes felt myself breathing through my mouth expecting to feel the bubble rising. The experience was that immersive!

What amazed me was how many older games support this resolution! I have to thank a YouTube reviewer who pointed this out as it was a big worry for me. Fallout 4 gave me a bit of an issue as it wouldn't even play in 1080p...saying my video card a 40 series wasn't supported. This may have been a video card related issue more than a monitor/resolution issue but I didn't feel like switching monitors to test on my standard 1080p. However a quick check in the NVidia control panel showed a problem with the game and a fix button and once I clicked it I was back in Fallout at full wide screen glory. Interestingly there was no driver update or any change to any settings that I hadn't tried manually since I fought with the manual setting for an hour or so trying to get it to work before I thought to look at the NVidia control panel. There must have been some esoteric setting I missed somewhere.

The pixel pitch on this monitor is almost the same as a sub 27 Inch 1080p monitor. This means you loose NOTHING for the added screen real estate. You can go right up to the monitor at a usable distance and you will not notice pixelation etc. Freesynch works on the Displayport cable which is what I am using to connect to the monitor.

A fine note to graphic connoisseurs such as myself. I don't necessarily want to play a game at 100+ fps. I want to play a game that looks the best it cam look at 60fps, ideally with the same 0.1% and 1% lows and I am fine with that. This monitor can refresh at 100Hz so "true" 100fps gaming with the right system is easy as pie. However graphic quality is always my first choice when purchasing a monitor. This monitor doesn't disappoint in that regard. Older game titles (1080p max titles usually) tended to use scaling tricks to upscale 1080p to 1080p wide...those extra ~ 600 x 1080 pixels is small as image scaling goes and not noticeable from a standard 1080p image. There is no distortion if the game support the wide screen format. HOWEVER if you are playing a game that uses higher resolution textures (newer games) the game engine sometimes down samples 1440p or even 4k textures to use that extra real estate and the effects are immediately noticeable as a much more pleasing experience! A prime example is Subnautica in my configuration.

The graphics hijinx described above is tied to graphic settings used by the developers during game development, optimizations they have implemented, hardware capabilities, driver capabilities and the engine used so don't expect the bonus graphic bump in all games. However when it does occur I am grateful for it. If you have ever uniformally scaled down an image in a graphics program and appreciated the enhanced detail and quality you will better understand the bonus graphic boost that is possible with these monitors.

As a developer myself I am anxious to experiment with this feature on my own titles and see if I can replicate these effects in a game/simulation setting. A final note, you will need a tiny bit more horsepower to push those extra pixels rather than standard 1080p. The difference is probably around 5%. With modern hardware and optimizations this difference will probably be lost in the noise.
