The Media Control Commission has today launched an investigation into the documentary "Aisha," which was released by Adhadhu 17 days ago.
The commission notified Adhadhu today that it has commenced an inquiry into the matter. The documentary premiered on March 28.
In the documentary, the woman interviewed made serious allegations against President Mohamed Muizzu. She alleged that Muizzu maintained an extramarital relationship with her and accused him of sexual harassment.

In an exclusive interview with Adhadhu, the young woman who worked at the President's Office in 2025 said she had sexual relations with Muizzu.
Prior to the release of the documentary, the government spokesperson denied the allegations when questioned. This response was included in the documentary.
In the video, which was shared across Adhadhu’s social media platforms, the President's Office former employee’s real identity was kept confidential.
"There are two sofas in the President's cabin. Like an L [shape]. The President and I were physical on the long sofa. Then the President's main table, a round table. The President and I were physical on that table too," she said.
Adhadhu has seen chat logs between Muizzu and the woman in her early 20s. The President had texted her outside of official working hours and used the timer feature for disappearing messages.
While the Media Control Commission has begun investigating the documentary, neither the government nor Muizzu has issued a statement regarding the matter since the documentary's release. Despite the gravity of the allegations, no state authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the claims.
The woman was an employee of the President's Office earlier last year. She worked in the office for about a week.
On January 13, 2025, Muizzu transferred her to the post of Senior Political Director of the Gender Ministry. She was later transferred to the post of Senior Political Director of the Higher Education Ministry.
The woman is not currently in any government position or employment.
