Bruce Parker and Jim Conroy at Jim's home in Wynne-wood, PA - 7/20/26

Bruce Parker visited Jim Conroy & Irene Taurins for 2 days. The jury is out whether he helped or just added texture to their lurching toward downsizing. 

We got Jim’s new eMoto sorted out (some) and talked about every idea that came to mind. Good food, though less than when we were younger.

Bruce stopped by on one of his eastward drives, sans Andrea. (Andrea was with grandkids, and Bruce was on an odyssean voyage to pick her up.) Stayed up late talking. No solutions to world problems. Bruce is working on it.

Bruce stayed overnight, then left the next day. The picture shows us in front of a small sampling of Ben and Christine’s 170+ windchimes.

Bruce Parker stopped for a second half visit with John Boak & Linda in Denver, en route from Aspen to MN. We spent most of our awake time considering problems and opportunities of mutual import.

Bruce Parker visited John Boak & Linda Keller at their cabin near Leadville CO. 

Then after the Aspen Ideas Health Festival tonight in Denver, I visited John’s artwork on display at the Aurora CO Art Complex. ((See pix.) Happy trails to all.

Jim Conroy, Kim Hart, and Irene Taurins, at Kim Hart’s home in Bloomfield, VA – 4/9/26

Thursday April 9 – Jim Conroy and Irene Taurins visited Kim and Linda Hart for meals and conversation at their fantastic rural home in Bloomfield, VA near Middleburg. We had a fine time catching up on life, laughing about the aging process, and considering wild thoughts about reality and the nature of consciousness --- originating from Dan Brown’s latest novel, The Secret of Secrets, which we had all just read. 

Linda made a splendid dinner of spinach from her garden, with three cheeses in a phyllo crust. With a beet salad, also raised in Linda’s garden, the meal was perfectly paired with some kinds of grape based liquids with ethanol.

Kim is still having fun encouraging and investing in new residential complex projects. As always, Kim is seeking ways to find balance among competing interests, while creating much needed housing in the area. He currently has two affordable housing projects under construction.  One is 52 units and the other 80.

Jim and Irene went on the next day to attend Jim’s 60th high school reunion in Bethesda MD on April 11. Walter Johnson High School, named after the baseball pitcher, and constructed in a cow pasture in 1956. The dairy farm was still operating in the 60s. The school had no air conditioning. So there was powerful aroma-based motivation .to avoid summer school.
