Man they don’t make witch movies like they did in the 90’s. Everything about this movie is perfect. The casting, music, visuals, Sandra Bullock’s wardrobe. I just love everything about this movie. It doesn’t feel like fall till I’ve watched this and Hocus Pocus.

“i hope i never fall in love. i hope i never fall in love.”“i can’t wait to fall in love!!”this movie is so warm in that specific late autumn way, where the air smells like cinnamon and vanilla, and the wind carries laughter that sounds like a memory. i can’t explain how badly i want to live inside that old creaky house with the owens sisters, barefoot in the kitchen, hair wild from the sea breeze, casting spells while pie-making and heartbreak healing blur into one. sally and gillian’s bond feels like a spell itself, stitched together by grief and magic(and always on my mind by elvis being here killed me)

Mainstream, sentimental cottagecore vibes. A sickiningly-sweet, folksy retelling of Halloweentown with a dash of Charmed / Supernatural style horror. Like if the Fall section of a JC Penny threw up in a Salem witchcraft shop. Bubbling over with witchy charm, 90’s fall fashion, midnight margarita parties, chocolate cake for breakfast and the feminine urge to kill and bury evil men with your sister and then drive out their vengeful CGI spirits with the PTA coven. I have a weird feeling Practical Magic will grow on me over the years…

“i dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for.”this is easily the coziest, most whimsical and warmest movie i have ever watched. it felt as if someone put a spell on my heart the moment it began and i wish to charmed this way forever. it had so many sweet moments ughh i’ve always dreamed of having a sister and this dream has never been stronger than right now. gillian mouthing “i love you” to sally who’s falling asleep, yet she still responds… please, am i asking for too much?? not to mention that sally’s daughters are almost the exact copy of them two. that’s ultimate goals right therejust when i thought this couldn’t get any better, “always on my mind” by elvis started playing in the background and i melted on the spot. STEVIE NICKS TOO. the music queen of witches, oh i couldn’t be happier. i absolutely adored how the love plot was quietly living in the shadows of womanhood, and the film didn’t turn into a simple sappy romance. though, i can’t lie, some tears were shed. she wished for him and he wished for her too :(((( my dear sally owens, you’re my new role model for life<3“there are some things i know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can.”

possibly the coziest movie ever made? the outfits, the HOUSE, the grain, the soundtrack, and nicole kidman's fab hair! so so fun and cute and easy to watch. as a lifelong summer hater, i am so ready for autumn

“there’s a little witch in all of us” 🍂🧹🪦 🍵i went into this not expecting much tbh but oh my god i actually adored it, sandra bullock and nicole kidman are absolute living legends, they could so be sisters irl and i love the red hair on nicole and sandra’s straight black hair, they were indeed having a mother off! the aesthetic and outfits were also so beautiful, the fall vibes are great as well. noticing young evan rachel wood was a nice surprise to the film and fleetwood mac in the soundtrack is a huge w! 90’s films have never disappoint me tbh. this film is the definition of #justgirlythings (they’re so me and jazzy coded) ₊˚🕯️♱‧₊˚.
