A sketchbook fills up faster once you stop drawing everything from scratch. These finished illustration sets and subject folders are worth keeping open in another tab while you work.

Street Sketchbook explores the secret world of sketchbooks and the artistic foundations of drawing. Drawing is the ultimate low-budget medium; you don’t need huge resources or even a studio space to start making your mark. Through interviews with artists and 100s of illustrations the aim of the book is to understand how and why artists use sketchbooks and how sketches get further developed. Featuring over sixty contemporary artists worldwide; working across many fields, including illustration, graffiti, painting, design and animation, they are united by a love of drawing, originality and a prodigious output of personal work.

Street Sketchbook: Journeys continues the theme of an artist's creativity by looking further at the idea process. Featuring in-depth interviews and illustrated with sketchbooks and behind the scenes photographs this book follows the artistic journeys of thirty extraordinary artists from around the world. Some of these artists have been on travels that have inspired them while for others ‘the journey’ is a creative one which links the people and things they’re passionate about, which motivates them to create art. How do artists have ideas? What drives artists to make art? How do they engage with the world? Learning about their motivations and personal stories we gain a greater insight into their inventive work, their artistic viewpoint and into the nature of creativity.
