Our People
Spiros Mavrogenis
Spiros Mavrogenis holds a multidisciplinary background in civil engineering and cinema production. As a founding member of Lynx Productions, he was instrumental in the strategic merger with STEFI, eventually stepping into his current role as CEO of the company. In addition to his executive leadership, Spiros is an accomplished producer with an extensive portfolio. His work encompasses high-end commercials, award-winning documentaries, and long-form journalistic programs that tackle pressing social and political issues, many of which have secured wide international distribution. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Greek Producers Association since 2002, notably serving as Chairman from 2010 to 2012.
Federico Pietra
Federico was born in Rome and raised in Athens. He pursued film studies in Leeds at the Northern School of Film and Television and in Amsterdam at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Following his academic training, he explored a range of roles within the film industry, ultimately focusing on producing, primarily for commercial projects. He now leads the company’s production department as Head of Production, overseeing the company’s production department and ensuring the smooth execution of projects across all stages. He continues to work selectively on projects as a producer.
Yannis Costas
A longtime collaborator of Stefi, Yannis worked on landmark Greek productions of the 1980s, as well as international collaborations with directors such as Coppola and Erden Kıral. In the 1990s, he moved to New York, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film and a Master’s degree in Philosophy. He is currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University. Returning to Greece, he founded Lynx Productions, which later merged with Stefi. Today, he heads Stefi’s highly successful TV Series department and has initiated several acclaimed theatre productions in recent years. A driving force within the company, he is constantly seeking new ideas and creative paths.
Raffaele Pietra
Born and raised in Greece with Italian roots. Coming from a family of producers, the seed of becoming one was implanted at a young age. Starting as a runner on productions since 2005 he accumulated knowledge from bottom to top. He has attended the Business School at Hull University (UK) and in 2011 he returned to Greece, highly motivated and driven to excel. Until now, he has been working within STEFI’s various sectors, such as production & post-production, financial department, concept developing, alongside with his administrative role as board member. He enjoys spending time watching films and tv series, has a soft spot for technology and gadgets while his Achilles heel is pasta…nobody is perfect!.
Giorgos Gezerlis
Aliki Danezi Knutsen
Born in Lyon, France, raised in Cyprus, living in Athens, Aliki is a Fulbright scholar with an MA Philosophy and Honors BFA in Filmmaking from New School and New York University respectively. A pioneer filmmaker for her country, writer/director, and producer, she has created five feature films and a number of stage plays. Member of the Hellenic Film Academy, the European Writer’s Desk, and the Cyprus Directors’ Guild. Aliki has recently joined forces with Stefi Productions as Head of the company's International Services and co-Productions department. www.alikidaneziknutsen.com
