The O’s have been slightly better this year (they’ve already matched last year’s win total with six games left), but are guaranteed to have another non-winning season. In fairness, Baltimore had held its own lately to pull within two games of the fourth place Jays, but another last place finish looks likely (unless it can sweep Toronto this week). Then again, the O’s just got swept at home against Milwaukee, and haven’t scored a run since Friday, so yeah… about that.

Once again, Miami has boosted its record this season, but just a smidge. And unfortunately, whatever gains the Fish made this year seem to be disappearing as a recent skid has dropped them 10 games back of second place Philadelphia. Suddenly, Miami has to look below them as a charging Mets squad could overtake them for third place in the NL East.
