Stephanie Bookman-Gaston is the President and Executive Director of the Fine Arts Academy of Central Louisiana, a nonprofit she founded to help children and youth explore music, dance, theatre, writing, and visual arts in a safe, inclusive environment. A lifelong musician and experienced health information professional, she brings both creative passion and professional leadership to the organization. -
Heather Kleckinger and Tenisha LeSane represent the Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gamblingâs work to strengthen awareness of and access to the Louisiana 988 Lifeline. Heather, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Director of Quality, oversees quality improvement and training, while Tenisha, the 988 Lifeline Outreach Coordinator, leads community outreach, education, and partnerships across Regions 4 through 8. Together, they help connect individuals and families experiencing mental health, substance use, or suicidal crises with free, confidential support and local resources available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. -
Airs Mon., Aug. 31, 6:30 p.m. Hershey Krippendorf serves as Director of Development and Syringe Service Program Supervisor at The Philadelphia Center. The organization provides HIV education, prevention, testing, housing, case management, healthcare connections, and other support services throughout Northwest Louisiana, while its syringe service program focuses on harm reduction and connecting participants with medical and social resources. -
July's guest on Conserving Earth is Chris Macaluso, Director of the Center of Fisheries and Mississippi River Program for the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP). Chrisâ 20-year career in the outdoor communication field, combined with a lifelong passion for fishing and the outdoors, has made him an effective conservation leader for Louisiana waterways and coastal habitats. Chris will share with us restoration efforts funded by Deepwater Horizon oil spill penalties and other key issues from along Louisianaâs spectacular Gulf coast. -
Megann McDaniel is the Director of Marketing and Development for the YMCA of Northwest Louisiana, where she supports community engagement, fundraising, and awareness of the organizationâs programs and growth initiatives. The YMCA offers fitness, aquatics, youth sports, childcare, afterschool programming, and community events designed to strengthen the spirit, mind, and body.

Join us for the 4th Annual Passion for Purple Luncheon as East Texas comes together during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to support survivors, raise awareness, and strengthen our community. This yearâs featured speaker is Melissa Dohme-Hill, a domestic-violence survivor, advocate, and executive director of Hands Across the Bay. The event centers on raising awareness and supporting the work of the Family Crisis Center of East Texas.
Tickets are $50 per person, or $500 for a reserved table of eight.

The US Air Force Band of the West will be performing 5 shows throughout Louisiana and Texas this September. These shows feature the exceptional talents of the nationâs finest Airmen musicians.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, the USAF Band of the West is comprised of 61 highly-trained professional musicians who have dedicated themselves to serving their country through music. Whether performing for live, radio, or television audiences, these Airman are dedicated to enhancing community relations, promoting esprit de corps, and connecting with millions each year.
As musical ambassadors of the United States Air Force, the Band of the West travels more than 125,000 miles annually and provides hundreds of free performances to military and civilian audiences throughout Texas and the surrounding states. The Band is made up of multiple large and small ensembles and can blend seamlessly into any event!
