As a temporary measure, we have been implementing an intrusive screen by CloudFlare that verifies a user is human before granting access to the site. Is it annoying? Of course. But at least the site remains accessible.
We need a permanent solution if the site will survive. We need to hire developers experienced in AI bot attacks to advise us on installing software that can protect kids-in-mind.com. We also need to move to a more secure server with larger bandwidth, sufficient protections and responsive support. As a last resort we may be forced to move the site behind a paywall, thus preventing the AI bots from accessing our reviews.
All of this is an expensive proposition. If you find what we do helpful, subscribe and donate; no AI bot can watch a movie and analyze it the way our human reviewers have been doing every week since 1998. That’s why it’s so much easier for AI companies to steal our content.
