Finningley Village Community Group was formed by a group of local residents with the aim of organising village events for the benefit of the local community.
Our focus now is to:
- run twice monthly coffee mornings in the Village Hall â a great social event with profits from the sale of coffee, tea and home made cakes going to local charities;
- lead short local walks twice monthly to tie in with our coffee mornings â no charge is made for the walk and we get back in time for coffee and cake in the Village Hall;
- arrange talks by guest speakers at our monthly Tuesday Club â talks on almost any subject imaginable with tea, biscuits and time for a chat â all for a modest admission charge.
Please see our events pages for more information.
A huge thank you to all our customers at our community coffee mornings. Making money isnât the objective but their popularity has meant that we have regularly been able to make donations to local and national charities.
Everything we do is on a voluntary basis and more help is always welcome. So if you can spare a bit of time to help us support the village please let us know at one of talks, walks or coffee mornings or by emailing contact@finningley.org.
