Places I like to go

1. Matsumoto Shave Ice (about an hour to the North Shore area from the hotel)
2. Dole Plantation (touristy, but a fun place to view the pineapples and tropical gardens. 40 minutes or go on the way to Matsumoto!).
3. Skull and Crown Trading (Tiki bar with good drinks and surprisingly good food. Make reservations well in advance, closed Sunday and Monday)
4. Honolulu Coffee at Moana Surfrider (across the street from the hotel)
5. Earl's Restaurant (touristy, but good food. Ask for an outside patio table!)
6. Poke: Maguro Brothers Hawaii Waikiki (One of the best poke I've ever had. Easy walking distance from hotel. Popular and closes early)
7. Iolani Palace
8. Pearl Harbor National Memorial
9. Diamond Head (great hike)
10. Makapuʻu Point Lighthouse Trail (another relatively easy hike, great place to see whales)
