Aragonite: Molina de Aragón, Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain (TL)

A nice bicolored crystal from this well-known locality. The pseudohexagonal crystal shows a nice light lavender center and grades towards colorless on both ends. There is a smaller zoned crystal within the pinacoid of the larger one. Excellent specimen with good luster.

Classic doubly terminated pseudohexagonal crystal of aragonite from a well-known locality. A smaller doubly terminated crystal to 1.2cm is present on the side of the main crystal. Lustrous and orange by inclusions

Phenakite: Mt. Wheeler Mine, White Pine Co., Nevada, United States    

Numerous, colorless small phenakite crystals poke out of the matrix of this specimen. Some of the more developed and complete faces are up to 2mm in length. Hundreds of minute pyrite (probably almost entirely altered to goethite) are present in well-formed crystals throughout.

Kidwellite with Rockbridgeite: Buckeye Mountain, Polk Co., Arkansas, United States

Fine kidwellite fans up to 2.3cm in diameter showing nice zonation with tan and olive-green centers and alternating zonations of different shades of green. Lustrous brown radial sprays of rockbridgeite are also present up to 1.1cm in diameter. Many (much smaller) sprays are completely circular and embedded within the kidwellite. All embedded in matrix.

Vesuvianite with Carbonate-Apatite, Pipestone Mine, Jefferson Co., Montana, United States

Brown vesuvianite crystals with nicely developed faces, fill a void in a spongy looking matrix. The smaller crystals situated deeper have little to no damage. White carbonate apatite is also present on the specimen.

Smoky Quartz with hematite inclusions and Microcline: Harris Peak, Colorado, United States

A nice crystal of smoky quartz with inclusions of hematite sits prominently beside a faint blue-green crystal of amazonite that reaches 5.3cm in length. The quartz crystal has minor damage to the termination but still displays well. Along the base of the crystals are albite which are also present on some of the amazonite and smoky quartz crystal faces. A small 1.3cm tall quartz crystal is also present on the back of the specimen.
