Def Leppard just announced the release of a new boxed set featuring all of the band’s studio recordings from 2015 to 2023. Titled, Vol 4. the box will feature the albums Def Leppard (2015), Diamond Star Halos, (2023) and 2023’s Drastic Symphonies. The six disc/11 LP collection will also include 41 rarities, including a Beatles cover. The band recorded their cover of The Beatles “Revolution,” for a TV commercial, but ended up not being used and had sat in the Def Leppard vaults since then. Continue reading »

The Avett Brothers opened their set with the perfect cover for a post-baseball game concert at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. While the score wasn’t encouraging for the Braves (they lost that game 7-1 to the Tampa Bay Rays), the Avetts opened with a distinct clapping pattern that got Braves fans on their feet. Though originally a C-side, “Don’t Let Me Down” has rightfully become one of The Beatles‘ most popular songs. Well, it’s in the Top 20, in terms of Spotify streams. Somewhat surprisingly, it actually has more streams than its A-side, “Get Back.” (Also surprisingly, it has way more daily streams in 2026 than many of the songs ranked higher than it in the Top 20, meaning it might be on its way to the Top 10 by 2027.) It’s a little less popular as a cover, though there are still plenty of versions out there, because it’s a Beatles song. Continue reading »

Singer/songwriter Marcus King has contributed a Wilco cover to the ongoing “Song That Found Me At The Right Time” video series. The series was created to benefit and raise awareness for the non-profit Sounds of Saving, the group that runs the 988 Suicide and Crisis lifeline. Jeff Tweedy‘s Substack Starship Casual has been a (sunken) treasure for Wilco fans, offering covers, songs in progress, and Tweedy’s droll commentary. This week, he offered a cover, proving that he is part of the growing group of fans of the group Twisted Teens.

Tweedy included his cover of their song “Wild Connection” in his September 11th post. The song first appeared on the New Orleans band’s Blame the Clown, which was released this February. (Not to be confused with their second 2026 album, released in June and titled, Florida Water Blues.) Continue reading »
