Votes' history
The history of the Votic people began in the I—IV centuries, when near the villages of Valgovitsy and Velikino the ancestors of modern vods left the first archaeological traces of the formation of an original culture

Today, the people once given the name to the vods Pyatina of Novgorod land live mainly in the North of the Kingisepp district of the Leningrad region, in Saint Petersburg, as well as in the North-East of Estonia

Apart from basic activities such as farming and fishing, the traditional culture of vađđa is also filled with ancient customs, beliefs and music
