Season of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card I made using the "Season of Celebration" ephemera package. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4' piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Irresistible Designs" 12" x 12" package. I took a blending brush and scrubbed on some Real Red ink. Then I taped this piece to the front of the card base.

I cut a Basic White circle using the third circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. On top of that I added one of the poinsettia pieces from the "Season of Celebration" package. I removed the backing and added Dimensionals. Then I brushed on baby powder on all the exposed sticky areas. Then I removed the backing on the Dimenisonals and set the piece in place on the circle. 

I took the word piece from the same package and treated the back like I did with the poinsettia piece. I set the word piece in place about 7/8" from the bottom and equal spacing on each side. 

The circle piece was taped to the front of the card about 7/8" from the top edge. 

I took three of the flower images and treated the back like I did for the word piece and the poinsettia piece. I removed the backing on the Dimensional and set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make.

Oh My Fright, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. I found a card on Pinterest and I changed it a bit. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measures 4" x 5-1/4". I taped one on the inside and the other I textured using the "Swirls of Magic" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the 4th square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I didn't have the die that was used on the original card. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the lower part of the card.

The tree from the "Oh My Fright" bundle was cut using Basic Black card stock. I glued it to the front of the card. I had cut the bats at the same time, there are three on one die so it was a quick cut! I taped a little piece of Real Red card stock behind the bats.

I cut three ghosts using Basic White card stock. I cut a small piece of Basic Black card stock and glued it to the back of each ghost. Dimensionals were added to the back of the ghosts and they were set in place on the front of the card. 

The bats were glued down next. 

I was going to stop but I thought the word piece could use something, so I took a bat from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" embellishments. Then I saw how many little black dots I still had in the package so I added some to the front of the card. I also added one to the trunk area of the tree to make it look like a knot hole.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It was pretty quick and easy too.

Season of Celebration Ephemera, Holiday Card, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card using the "Season of Celebration" ephemera package.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Irresistible" 12' x 12" package. Before taping it to the front of the card base, I too my blending brush and scrubbed on some Hydrangea Hue ink.

The trees were taped down first.  Then the car was added using Dimensionals. I removed the backing from the back of the truck and added Dimensionals to the back. Then I brushed on some baby powder (you can also use corn starch) on the back. Once all the shine from the sticky parts were covered, I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and set the truck in place. 

I did the same with the word piece. The sky looked a bit empty so I added some stars that were in the same package and that was it, the card was done. 

This was another fun card to make using the "Season of Celebration" package.

Season of Celebration Ephemera, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. There's no stamping involved at all. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Hydrangea Hue card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Irresistible Designs" 12" x 12" package. Using a blending brush and Hydrangea Hue ink, I scrubbed on some color to the center area and a outwards. I taped this piece to the front of the card.

The cute images are from the "Season of Celebration" ephemera package. I love it that they are stickers but yet I love to have dimension on my cards. So even with stickers you can do both.

I affixed the snow globe snowman down first. Then I added the words under it. 

This is when I decided to add some dimension.  I removed the backing from the stickers and added a Dimensional. Then I took some baby powder and brushed it on the stickers. When the sticky was gone, I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the pieces in place.  I thought the card could use a little sparkle so I added Wink of Stella to the snowflakes, berries and the inside bluish part of the snow globe. And that was it, the card was done.

Super easy and quick too!

This was fun and I just love this snowman, he's too cute!

Sunflower Fields, Scalloped Blooms, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I thought I'd make one more card using the "Sunflower Fields" Designer Series Paper (DSP) before I move onto something else.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a piece of Crushed Curry card stock that measures 1" x 5-1/4" and I textured it using the "Lazy Daisy" embossing folder. This will be glued to the left side after I cut the DSP.

The DSP measures 3" x 5-1/4" and was taped down first and then the 1" strip was glued down.

The words are from the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle using Basic Black ink. I cut it out using the third circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. The payer was cut from the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle and Cajun Craze card stock was used. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card about 1-1/8" from the top edge and 3/4" from the right and left sides. And the card was done.

I was just amazed at how quick this card was to make. It's fun how DSP can really carry a card, isn't it?

Radiant Flowers, Scalloped Wishes, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold was on top. I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock to the inside.

On the front I cut a 4" x 5/4" piece of Designer Series paper from the "Sunflower Fields" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a piece of Cajun Craze that measured 3" x 4".  A 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of DSP from the same package was cut and taped to the Cajun Craze layer.  I taped the layers to the front of the card about 3/4" from the left edge of the card and I lined it up along the top and bottom edges of the large piece of DSP.

The words are from the "Scalloped Wishes" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink. I cut it out using the third largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. And the layer behind it was cut using Cajun Craze card stock and the second largest circle die in the same set. I taped the two circles together and added Dimensionals to the back.

The cute sunflower was made next. I die cut the flower from the "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle using Crushed Curry card stock. The leaves were cut using Old Olive card stock and the center of the flower was cut using Cajun Craze card stock. I taped the Cajun Craze flower center in place. Before taping the flower to the stem, I cut the top leaf off. The piece was then taped to the white circle. 

I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the circle in place about 1/2" from the right edge and about 7/8" from the bottom edge of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I can't wait to get it out in the mail to a friend.

Radiant Sunflowers, Poetic Petals, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Glow of Harvest" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card allowing equal spacing on all sides.

Next I stamped the words from the "Poetic Petals" bundle using Early Espresso ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" bundle.  Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the lower left side of the card.

The sunflowers were made next. I cut them using Crushed Curry card stock and the centers were cut using Early Espresso card stock. They are from the "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle. I taped the centers on the flowers. I added the large flower first. Tape was added to the lower part and a Dimensional to the upper part. One small sunflower was taped behind the large flower and the other was taped on the left side and a Dimensional was added to the right side and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. It's too bad the DSP doesn't show up well on the picture, it has a pretty pearly shimmer to it.

Radiant Sunflowers, Poetic Petals, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock (after thought here, I think Early Espresso would have looked better). 

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry was cut for the largest layer.

Then I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Cajun Craze for the next layer. 

On top of the Cajun Craze layer I added some pretty Designer Series Paper (DSP). On the upper part I cut the DSP at 2-1/2" x 1" and I cut three of them. I kept them in the order of the way they were cut so the design would carry through. I chose this color because out of all the pretty papers in the pack I thought this one was the most difficult one to work with.  But after using this layout, it didn't seem as difficult anymore. I taped the three pieces on the upper part of the layer.

A 2" x 3-1/4" piece of DSP from the same package, it was actually the backside of the upper piece.  I taped that piece to the lower part of the card.

The words are from the "Poetic Petals" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink. I used the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set but after cutting them out I realized there's a die that is just about the same size in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I big DUH there on my part.  LOL. When I die cut the words, I moved the die so the words would be as close as I could to the right.

The flower stem from the "Radiant Sunflowers" was cut using Garden Green card stock. The flower was cut using another die from the set on Cajun Craze card stock and the center was cut using another die and Early Espresso card stock. I glued the center to the flower.

I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals. I glued the flower stem to the left side of the word piece. I snipped the upper part of the stem and the flower was added using Dimensionals. And the card was done. It's all ready to go out in the mail tomorrow.

Spooktacular, Oh My Fright, Halloween Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have four cards to share with you. I found these on Pinterest and since I had purchased the 6" x 6" "Spooktacular" package of Designer Series Paper (DPS) I thought I'd give these cards a try. You can see the original cards by clicking here. Please read on to see how I made these cards. 

For the base of all of my cards I used a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. They open on the bottom and the fold is on the top. 

The next layers are Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie card stock. 

On top I used Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie. All were textured using the "Swirls of Magic" embossing folder. I dragged the Basic White ink pad over the texture to pick up the color. 

The textured pieces were glued to coordinating card stock and then that was taped to the Basic Black card base. 

The faces from the "Spooktacular" DSP were cut out using the largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. The scalloped Basic Black layer was cut using the die in the Scalloped Blooms" bundle.  I taped the circles together and then glued them to the front of the card.

I tied a bow or knot and set them in place using a glue dot.

The words are from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and were stamped on Basic White card stock using Basic Black ink. They measured 1/2" round when cut out. The Basic Black layer behind it was made using the 4th circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I taped the layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the cards and the cards were done. I actually made 8 cards and it didn't take long at all. I have some special people I will be sending some of these to.

These were fun and easy to make. They are probably quick if you make only one!

Frightfully Fun Times, Harvest Hues, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. I found the card on Pinterest and I did make several changes to it. Mostly because I didn't have the parts used on the original card, so I used what I had. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Secret Sea card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside. 

I cut a 3/4" strip of Basic Gray card stock and taped it to the right edge. Along the left edge of the gray piece, I affixed the colorful strip from the "Frightfully Fun Times" sticker sheet. I cut it to 5-1/2" long and set it in place.

Next I added the tag from the "Harvest Hues" ephemera pack. It's a sticker so I just removed the backing and set it in place. 

The orange dotted piece from the same ephemera pack was set in place on the lower part of the tag.

I popped out the witches hat and stuck on a round disk that makes the hat wiggle. After sticking it on the back I brushed on some baby powder to make the back not sticky anymore. Then a glue dot was added to the center of the disk and the piece in place on top of the tag. I pulled up on the hat and the wiggle piece stretched out so it wasn't flat against the tag. This way it would have room to wiggle.

A leaf from the same ephemera pack was stuck behind the hat.

I added some ghosts, bats and dots from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" embellishment package. 

The words are from the "Frightfully Fun Times" sticker sheet. I added it to the orange dotted piece and the card was done. 

This was a fun card to make and I hope you are able to see it wiggle in the very (VERY) short video. It's cute in real life.

Radiant Sunflowers, Fern & Flora, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Barely Blush card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock and a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic Beige. 

On the Basic White piece I used my scoring board and made score lines on the backside. I started at 3/4" from the edges and scored every 1/8". I made 4 score lines on three sides. I left the right side (left side on the back) open. A little change from the original card. 

Using my blending brush and some Pecan Pie ink, I brushed it on the edges. Then I taped the scored piece to the top of it and then I taped that to the front of the card base, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

The flowers were done next. I cut them from Basic White card stock using the dies from the "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle. Using my blending brush I scrubbed on some Barely Blush ink. 

The leaves and flower centers were cut from a piece of Basic Beige card stock. I cut out the large leaf piece and the stem with three leaves on it. Using my blending brush I scrubbed on some Pecan Pie ink. 

I glued the centers to the flowers. On the large flower I added a Dimensional to the back. I set the flower in place on the upper right side of the card and I glued the largest leaf to the upper left side. Then I glued the smaller flower on, tucking it under the large flower a little. I snipped off a leaf from the stem of three and glued it under the little flower.

The words were stamped next. They are from the same "Radiant Sunflowers" bundle using Crumb Cake ink. I cut them out using the fun die from the "Fern & Flora" bundle.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place about 2-1/8" up from the bottom edge of the card and about 1/4" from the right edge.

The smaller flower and leaf were added next. I didn't have any current ribbon but I did have some velvet ribbon that matched the Barely Blush color so I tied a bow and glued it in place. I had to add a few little glue dots to hold it while the glue dried. Velvet ribbon is a little difficult to work with because it's so thick. And that was it. The card was done.

I like the way it turned out. I was thrilled to be able to use that set for something more than just a fall card.

Simple Leaves, Seasonal Cheer, Banner Sayings, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that could be used as a masculine or feminine card. Please read on to see how it could be made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Textured Tree Ring" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base and then I set it under my stamping mat to dry and lay flat whole I worked on the other pieces.

The center strip is a 1-3/4" x 5" piece of Peaceful Pine card stock. I textured it using the "Seasonal Cheer" mini embossing folder. There's three in that package, the leaves, candy canes and bats. I can't wait to play with them all. I ran my white ink pad over the textured piece so the leaves would stand out more. I set it aside to dry. I cut the Peaceful Pine layer for it, it measures 2" x 5-1/4'. I glued the textured strip to the Basic White strip and then that was glued to the center front of the card. 

The leaves were made next. They are from the "Simple Leaves" bundle. I stamped them using Peaceful Pine, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry inks on Basic White card stock. I used the dotted leaf vein image on the front of all three leaves. Early Espresso ink was used to stamp them. Then they were punched out using the matching punch. I tied double bows around each stem. Dimensionals were added to the back of each and they were set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Banner Saying" set and were stamped using Basic Black ink. Then they were punched out with the "Three Banner" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the lower part of the card. And the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make. As I look at it I regret using the Peaceful Pine ink for the top leaf, Blackberry Bliss might have been a better choice.  But it's still okay the way it is.

Radiant Sunflower, Scalloped Christmas Cheer, Banner Sayings, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Sunflower Fields" 12" x 12" package.  I cut two pieces that measure 5-1/4" x 2".  I taped them to the front of of the card.

Next I cut the scalloped piece from the "Scalloped Christmas Cheer" die set using Cajun Craze card stock.

The center Basic White piece was cut at 2-1/4" x 3-3/8". I took my Cajun Craze ink pad and a blending pen, I scrubbed a little bit of color to the center of the piece. Then I taped it to the center of the scalloped piece.

The flower components were cut next. The vase was cut from a scrap piece of Cajun Craze card stock. 

The leaves were cut from a scrap piece of Old Olive card stock. The flower was cut from a scrap piece of Crushed Curry and the center of the flower was cut from a scrap piece of Early Espresso card stock. I put the flower together using a little bit of tape. On the backside I added Dimensionals and set the piece on the center of the Basic White piece. 

I stamped the words from the "Banner Sayings" bundle using Basic Black ink on Basic White card stock. I used a die in the bundle (the die set is retired) and I cut the "hello" from it. I added a Dimensional to the right side and tape to the left and set it in place on the front of the card.

The scalloped piece was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. After playing with this cute sunflower die, I want to pair it up with the scarecrow stamp. It looks good in my head. Let's hope it looks that good on paper!  Wish me luck! LOL

Oh My Fright, Spooktacular, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick Halloween card to share with you. I found a card on Pinterest that was a fun fold card but I wanted to make it flat, mostly because the person I'm giving it to wouldn't understand the fold. You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Spooktacular" 6" x 6" package. 

I marked the DSP in half and then measured it so is 2-1/4" wide (1-1/8" on each side of that center mark). and I cut the bottom off so it measured 5-3/8" long. It was taped to a 5-1/2" x 2-3/8" piece of Basic Black card stock.

The two remaining strips of DSP were cut to 7/8" x 5-3/8". I taped them to the outer sides of the card about 1/8" from the fold and from the right side. 

Dimensionals were added to the back of the center panel and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the left side and tape on the right. The piece was set in place on the lower left side of the card.

For a final touch a little bat from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" embellishments package was added to the upper right side of the card. Wouldn't it be cute if Stampin' Up! had little flies too? LOL

This was a super quick, easy and fun card to make.
