Event Canceled: 2026 Open House
Spaceport America has made the difficult decision to cancel its 2026 Open House, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026.
Expected heavy rainfall throughout southern New Mexico is forecasted for this week and will severely impact the ability to safely travel the roads to and from the Spaceport.
The safety of attendees, exhibitors and vendors is our primary concern during any public event. We thank you for your interest, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Boeing Tests Ultra Low-Cost Seeker at Spaceport America
Boeing completed multiple test events of an Ultra Low-Cost Seeker (ULCS) system at Spaceport America. Boeing was able to test the sensor’s design in an anechoic chamber to limit signal reflections, captive carry, and in high-speed flights on a scaled-down rocket.

Spaceport America has a rocket friendly environment of 6,000 square miles of restricted airspace, low population density, a 12,000 feet x 200 feet (3658 m x 61 m) runway, vertical launch complexes, and about 340 days of sunshine â and much more.
