-JdK- Gary's well-used 1929 Model 19 has been on the site before He was out on a run yesterday and the magneto failed so he thinks it is a good time to fit the correct type ML CMAK magneto and would like to know if anyone has one available for him. -JdK- Last week I participated again in the excellent LNL rally, doing around 750 km in two days. I took the 1933-ish International and it did fine, with only a broken clutch cable as a minor hiccup.
There were a few other Nortons and one of the most interesting was a 16H that had been converted to electric start. The owner could not tell me much about it, he had acquired it as-is and just used it. Apparently it is a 'dyno-start' with a few belts in the primary chain case.
I've seen him use the starter several times and it appears to work well. Click this link for the video.
-JdK- Kevin contacted us with a request; it's a long shot but let's see. "The story of this Norton starts back in the 50s in New Zealand when my father and his brother bought a tired Norton and in there great wisdom cut the engine out of the frame and mounted it into a home made go cart and raced it around the farm. Roll on 60 years and it time to piece this bike back together, but all I have is the complete motor, gearbox and the lower half of the frame. Maybe somewhere in the world someone will be sitting on a frame." Please contact us when you can help Kevin with a frame.
-JdK- Klaus in Germany is looking for a decent original adjuster for the oil level in the timing cover of a Moore CS1: "I would like to make some Regulator Knurled Adjusters No. 4233 for the Moore CS1. Therefore I need a very good pattern or a very good drawing. Maybe someone can help me. Or if anyone has done this job before, please let me know."

-JdK- Paul from the Czech Republic wants to keep his 16H - 1927 as in the photo above in patina condition. He needs tool boxes in similar condition. Paul has found them! Please let us know if you can help. Shiny versions of the toolboxes he's looking for are in the picture below.
-JdK- Albert in Malta is looking for the timing side cover for his 1930 Model 20 Norton. This is the model with the magneto in front of the engine. Please let us know when you can help.
-JdK- Juris in Latvia was unable to source a cover for the rocker box of his 1929 CS1 Norton, so he borrowed an original, made a model and cast a few more. He is selling them for 100 euro each, including a matching rubber seal. Please contact us for Juris' details when you're interested.
-JdK- Adam in the UK contacted us with the following request: "I'm researching H.O Matthews, a Norton racer from the 1920s and would really appreciate any information anyone may have. I'd love any images of Brooklands programs from the mid-late 20s or early 30s. Matthews was regularly racing here during this period both solo and sidecar. H.O Mathews was from Manchester and was also both a TT Senior and Amateur TT racer on Nortons. Any help would be greatly appreciated and of course my findings will be documented on this website."
