Updates

So, it has been forever since I last updated this thing. Sorry, but I don't have time! So to catch up on things, I decided to leave San Fernando Middle School in June. I am know officially a Middle School Counselor at Romer Middle School in North Hollywood. It is a brand new school, opening its doors for the first time in September. I am the 7th grade counselor and really, really like my job. I didn't get a summer vacation this year. My last day at SFMS was on June 30th and my first at RMS was July 1st. The pay is good...

I officially have one class left to finish my masters degree. I took the comps last Saturday and think that I did well. I think I may have to retake one but the other 5 essays I feel really good about. Oh yeah, did I mention that I had to write 6 essays in 4 hours....! The worst part of the experience is that my eyes decided to wig out the morning of the test. I couldn't see the computer screen. (I don't know what is wrong with them, they are still messed up. The eye doc cant see me until the 25th so I have to wait.) So hopefully the news is good in September.

I am officially applying for another Masters Degree program in Educational Leadership to get my administrative credential. I am hoping to take an AP position in two to three years. We'll see if that happens.

The kids are doing well and are getting big. Once I take pictures I will add them to the blog. Peter starts kindergarten in the fall and Becca will be going to pre-K at the elementary school. They will both be playing soccer this fall. I am excited to see what Rebecca does!

No trips planned for the summer...no time! I guess you all will have to come and visit me!

Smoke in the Air!

These are some pictures I took around 6 p.m. during the fires. These are shots of the smoke as it passes over the San Fernando Valley from the Malibu fires. PS: It doesn't get dark until 7:30 p.m.

It took us 14 hours to get to Kim's in New Mexico...and 16 hours to get back! But, we had so much fun!

We sure did enjoy our stay in Utah during the holiday break. Peter and Rebecca had so much fun playing with their cousins, bowling, and eating ice cream.

Going on Vacation
