I was looking forward to read this book, as it had been a while since I'd read any of Mel's books (shame on me ) the plot was good and well written, with just enough tension to keep you reading I was able to read it in one sitting!

Anyone looking a for a book to take away with can't go wrong with one "Past Temptations" and her second one in the series "Lost Temptations".

I have to admit that's the first time I read a book by M. A. Comley, and for sure it won't be the last. I was hooked from the first page of that sweet romantic story with a twist (no spoilers). I did not always agree with Nicci's choices and actions, but that's what makes people and fictional characters unique. This book has it all - love, disappointment, passion, bitterness, family, and a happy ending.

Any romance lover will fall in love with "Past Temptation".

I read this in a compilation and found it the weakest of the stories. It was difficult to understand how the heroine kept wishing others could understand her whilst completely failing to understand those same people. The dialogue, plot and characters all seemed to stretch believability in one way or another and made for a very unsatisfying read. After this I really could not find it in my heart to care what happens to the other sisters.

Some other issues with the story. There was a weird bit about accessing her daughter's savings which most definitely did not ring true either from my experience or the research to check my understanding. How could such an incredibly devoted mother have forgotten to go and see her daughter? If I had been Josh, my first question would have been "Whatever possessed you to saddle our daughter with such a silly name?"

really enjoyed reading this book by the lovely M A Comley, it was a very good beginning for what I hope will be a lovely series, very well written and realistic.

Very disappointed with this book, so much so that I deleted it from my Library after the second chapter. So used to Mel’s books that I will ensure that I will delete any other books in this series.

Nice little read very predictable. Shame MA always has to Mar it with explicit sexual activity we don't need it we all know what it is about

Nicole has her own successful hairdressing business and is in the store alone one day when she gets held up. He demands that she doesn't tell anyone about it and that he will be watching her to make sure she doesn't say anything to anyone. He threatens to harm her 9 year old daughter if she confides in anyone so Nicole pretends nothing happened. Nicole's ex-boyfriend, Josh, suddenly returns after leaving without a word 10 years earlier. Nicole is understandably very angry with him and tries to get rid of him but he has come back for her and is persistent in winning her over.

While I liked the story line and found it thrilling wondering what the robber would do next I would like to have known more about the back history of the characters and some explanation of why Josh's house was so big - where did his money come from? If there was any mention of what he did for a living, I missed it.

I wasn't really drawn to the characters. Nicole was understandably distant but I didn't feel a connection with her in any way. The only thing that I got about Josh was that he was very good looking.

I have read this plot before. Can we come up with something new and more exciting? The hair salon was the only thing original in this story.
