I was asked to read and review 'Cut Too Deep' by Marissa Farrar.

I loved the book from start to finish. In fact I was sorry that it ended as I wanted to read more. It only took me two days to read which is quick for me I totally identified with the lead character who has body & confidence issues as I suffer with the same problems. She can't understand why people show any interest in her and she is suspicious of their motives. She also thinks that she is going to be the butt of other people's jokes. At first I did wonder if the issues with her ex were all in her head but quickly realised that they weren't imagined. I think that the book nicely combined mystery & romance and at times I didn't realise that I was enjoying the romance element. ( I normally read crime & mystery novels and steer away from romance but in this case I am glad I made an exception.) I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would certainly award it five stars. Well done.

I would like to award this book 4+ stars. This is the first book. Have read by this author but won't be the last. I read this book in record time as I got very involved with the characters in the story and went through many different emotions throughout: sympathy, fear, teary-eyes. The romantic side of the story was a welcome release from the thrilling bit-your-nails roller coaster of thrilling events. Definitely read - you won't be disappointed.

I started this book as I needed to read something that was going to grab me as I'd already tried reading 2 books previously. Well what can I say about the characters. I LOVED Ryker Russo, the hot blooded man with the tattoos. And Jenna Armstrong is a fiesty BBW who doesn't understand what Ryker sees in her. Then you have the despised ex boyfriend who I DESTEST with a vengeance lol.

I loved the way the 2 main characters interact with each other and Jenna denying her feelings for Ryker all the while on the run. Never read Marissa's books before and will certainly be reading more though as I loved her style of writing on this standalone book.

It's nice to read something a little different and this is a love story with a strong suspense back story. The heroine, Jenna is a larger lady and larger ladies get their men, too. Marissa Farrar is a very good story teller and as the book hotted up with with suspense, I was riveted to my seat determined not to go anywhere or do anything until I found out what happened next. It's a great read and a well earned full five stars from me!

I don't normally read 'chick lit' but was recommended this book by a book club. From the first page I was caught up with the characters and events in this fast paced romantic thriller, definitely a page turner and impossible to put down.

Enjoyed reason this book

This was the worst book I've read in a while. The story jumped from one thread to another with no logical direction. Felt very amateur in that the story lacked depth and would just jump the main characters ahead to being in love after a couple of days. Nit someone I would want to read again anytime soon.

Good romance

This story line draws the reader in from the start, allowing you to feel the emotions of the characters.

Marissa Farrar has the skill of placing the reader in the story, by allowing you to see and feel every word she's wrote.

Ordinary people, placed in terrible situations that can be life changing. Making choices of the heart or of the mind.

Jenna Armstrong is a women haunted by her past. Constantly on the move, trying to out run the past cruelty of an ex-boyfriend. She is a scared women who see's herself as unattractive and with no self worth.

A encounter with a sexy bad boy named Ryker Russo changes her life, giving her strength she didn't know existed within her. Will Jenna be strong enough to escape her past or will self doubt take away the opportunity of what she has always longed for, love, happiness and a home.

I don't want to give away to much of this story, but I will say once you start this book you will not want to put it down until you have reached the last page.

It took me all day to decide to buy this book and I am so glad I did. Jenna isn't your typical young women she has been abused emotionally and physically by her ex boyfriend. Jenna is a beautiful girl but has a little extra weight and she sees herself has an overweight unlovable women. Her ex has done a number on her self esteem and she has come to believe everything he has told her. She is running from her horrible past and then she meets Ryker. Oh Ryker I so wish I could have known what he was thinking throughout this book! He was amazing. He was strong and compassionate. He liked Jenna from the very beginning and he wasn't shy in telling her. They fall hard for each other but there is one huge complication. Jenna is on the run and she is afraid her ex is closer then she believed! Can Ryker get Jenna to stay and trust him to protect her. Can Jenna give her whole self to Ryker. Can they be together or will her horrible ex ruin everything?

I loved this book and the suspense. I can so relate to Jenna and her self esteem issues! It's hard being overweight and then to have someone point out your flaws and call you names is demeaning. I loved how we got to see her progression throughout the book! She turns into a strong motivated women.

Reading this story I wasn't sure how I felt most of the time. I really felt bad for Jenna with everything she had gone through. Than I was angry with the way the other characters talked about her body. And most of it I felt like Ryker wasn't taking her seriously when she was scared about the things happening around her. In the end it all came together and I got my "oh ok"moment. All in all it was a great book
