Very happy to have a poem in the Australian Poetry Anthology 2024. Many thanks to guest editors Andy Jackson and Marcella Polain, and to all at Australian Poetry.

This year’s anthology showcases many poets who (like myself) live in regional Victoria. Great to read fresh work from friends, idols, and (to me at least) some intriguing new voices.

Here’s my article on the sub-type of autism known as pathological demand avoidance (PDA) viewed from a Lacanian psychoanalytic perspective.

The article is intended for a general, non-specialist audience, & I’ve tried to steer clear of jargon & incomprehensibility. At times that’s meant over-simplifying for the sake of clarity, but I hope it’s a worthwhile trade-off.

It’s taken over a year to pull this together, drawing upon the presentation I gave to the Lacan Circle of Australia last year, as well as the work of Leon Brenner, whose encouragement has been much appreciated.

So I wrote a thing about using chatbots for drug-related/harm reduction queries.

It was a joy to read and review Dominique Hecq’s chapbook of prose poems, Endgame with No Ending.
