Hello! This is Aliza's very very interesting blog.
You know I'll be a dedicated blogger because I also happen to be a dedicated procrastinator.
Just now I was reading an article entitled Five Reasons Why We Procrastinate and Five Strategies to Putting Off Putting Off...
I have an entire essay to write for tomorrow, so naturally I decided to conduct some more research on the subject of procrastination. I discovered a lot about the condition... I even diagnosed myself! According to Wikipedia (very trustworthy website), I am what they call a "relaxed procrastinator."
The relaxed type of procrastinators view their responsibilities negatively and avoid them by directing energy into other tasks. It is common, for example, for relaxed type procrastinating children to abandon schoolwork but not their social lives. This type of procrastination is a form of denial. The procrastinator avoids situations that would cause displeasure, indulging instead in more enjoyable activities. In Freudian terms, such procrastinators refuse to renounce the pleasure principle, instead sacrificing the reality principle. They may not appear to be worried about work and deadlines, but this is simply an evasion.Translated, this blog is an evasion of reality! I hope you enjoy all I find time to discuss.
Lastly, it's only fitting I conclude with a link to the Lansey Brothers' Blog, which gave me the idea for this if not the motivation... You can find them at: lanseybrothers.blogspot.com. I had rather intended to plagiarize their setup more closely, but my sister is being uncooperative at the moment and has refused my generous offers to let her contribute, even after I graciously volunteered to list her name first.
