My grandmother passed away peacefully with almost everyone by her side. I have so much to say but I don't even know where to begin. The past few days was particularly difficult for everyone in the family. We still find it hard to accept that she's no longer with us. After the cremation yesterday, we headed back to my aunt's place for some rest and lunch before heading back to Mandai to collect her ashes. I was hoping to avoid going to my aunt's place because it was too painful. Her bed, her clothes, her things and her presence still lingers. I sat on her bed and cried for a long time. I'm not sure how often I'll be doing this whenever I go there. Death is part and parcel of life. It is learning how to deal with the passing of a loved one that is difficult. I'll be okay as time goes by.
