The number of confirmed infections are increasing. Many are worried about the future. Almost 25% of the world are in lock down. We are told to stay at home and only go out to buy essentials. Anxiety is increasing as time passes. 

On the bright side the environment and the sky has never been this clean. Since most cars are off the road, there is little air pollution. Also, families everywhere are more than ever communicating with each other either via Facebook Messenger, Viber or Skype. More and more people are binge watching Netflix and using Tiktok. 

I hope the world will heal soon. I pray that this too shall pass.

2020 is now while watching Before Sunrise.

2019 was depressing but also surprisingly wonderful.

2018 was a tragedy but also the birth of our baby Jiya who is a bundle of joy.

2017 was our spring and first winter trip to south korea.

2016 was spring south korea and autumn japan trip.

2015 was mid spring south korea.

2014 was cambodia and thailand trip.

2013 was my wedding and first trip to singapore.

2012 was changing jobs and proposal to jen.

2011 was my first trip to USA, was Cordy's wedding, was the Cebu-Bohol trip with USAP friends and was Jen's first Dahilayan zip line adventure and the year Sendong hit CDO.

2010 was best USAP summer outing in Ilocos

2009 was Joy's wedding.

Last night I woke up and went back to sleep. I dream about being in school in a PE uniform. I went inside the library looking for a trigonometry book. The librarian seem to know right away without checking the computer. I interviewed some students and asked who is the current chairman. I didn't know him. So I went on telling them that I was an ECE graduate here. I left the library and woke up sweating.

It's 1:53 PM in the afternoon. I'm currently waiting for our weekly WIP meeting. Nothing much to say except that Jesse is on SL and I'll be on leave tomorrow. CMB is almost done but client is still doing the UAT. I have not much else to do except wait.

Today, I had to wake up early so I can avoid traffic. I arrived at the office at 7:09 A.M. Not bad for a Wednesday schedule. I was the first to arrive in the office. This was opposite to last Monday wherein I arrive past 9:00 A.M. Jiyana, my daughter just turn 7 weeks. How time flies. 

It is still hard for Jen, my wife to adjust to Jiyana's  schedule. But she's coping up. Thanks for the sacrifice honey. 

Well, back to work now. I hope the day turns out fine. I have to finish some product export script.

Internet is evolving rapidly all around the world. Website or blog development never ends. Whoever needs a blog or website to support his business, has to hire a web developer to build its foundation. It shows the high demand of web developer. For most businesses, there is a major shift on internet or at least taking big support through internet. Thus, they will always need web developers. The work that is in high demand must be highly paid as it is the rule of economics. So be glad that you are one.

Last week, I packed up my things and got ready for my first trip in the US. I felt excited and at the same time scared. So there I was just moments to my plane. The feeling of being transported into an alien world crept on me. But I guess it won't last long. So what happened next?

The problem with time zones

I left my country at 10pm. It was a long journey ahead. It was my first time on a Boeing 747. It was huge unlike other planes I've ridden. Anyways to keep up from sleep, I checked out the selection of in-flight movies. I watched Flipped, Eat Pray Love, and some recent ones. Then I just fell asleep without even knowing that I've crossed the dateline in the Pacific. It was a weird experience departing at 10PM and arriving at 6:30PM on the same day.


The Airport

It was great seeing lots and lots of people from different countries. I wasn't sure were to go at first but a sign of "Visitors" in the immigration gave me a hint. The immigration officer asked me some standard question and I wasn't really at my best in answering the questions. He was skeptical and so It took him 2 minutes to finally allow me to enter and pass. In the customs, the line was long. It took me more than 30 minutes. Finally I saw the driver holding a tag with my name on it. It was a relief.

The Hotel

Here I was at the hotel feeling tired and sleepy. I was excited to contact Jenny immediately. She was happy for me I guess. I missed here from miles away so I told her that I would constantly keep in touch with her in anyways possible. During the first night at Extended Stay, I couldn't sleep but I adjusted after a days.

Yes! It's your first job. You've made it througn the working force. The thrill and excitement awaits as you come to the office for the first time. This is what I felt when I had my first job. Then along came relationships. There are many to choose from. It's easy as it seems but it's funny how hard it is to deal with all of them. This is where you learn how to adapt to different kinds of people. And you should try to accept the fact that you can't please everybody but you can piss them all. If you're a new hire, don't act like you know everything. Try to learn from the experts. The bunch of  stuff you learned in school doesn't guarantee you anything. You have to start from scratch. Pay attention to what works for you and what works for others. They are not the same. Be original. After 6 months, you're starting to get the feel of it. Remember, never be late and always do your job on time. It's the first 6 months or sometimes the first year that is evaluated by your bosses. If you're a hot shot, then you'd be promoted. The bottom line is, don't focus yourself on promotions.  Instead, try to learn as much as possible so that in a way, you are upgrading your skills. Experience is the game here. Try to gain more of that so that when you decide to quit, you won't regret having to go to work everyday and not  get anything in return. Also, be friends with others. You see, it's the connection that counts. Lastly, do whatever it takes to stay on the job. Don't wait for your boss to say this two words - "You're fired!"

people think that life is a straight line. you are born. then you become a child, a teen ager then a young adult. but then you reach the point that you become old and poof, you're time is up. but isn't life a cycle? it may not be that you'll turn back into a baby but the experience of being cared and to care for someone becomes a cycle. you see once we get old, although we still care for our children and those dearest to our hearts but we are the one who are in need of care. we are the ones who are in need of special attention once we get old. so you see, being too old is becoming like a baby again. we become fragile to the point that even our hearts become more sensitive. if there is such a thing as eternal life, then maybe there such a thing as to become one with the Creator. After all, it is because of Him that we came to life in the first place.

It's a Sunday evening and I'm still up searching the net. I wonder what my days and nights would be in the next few weeks. I guess I have sacrificed everything in exchange for this. but the truth is, i'm quite glad that i had ended my boring job. there isn't much fun anymore in repairing those old boards. if there is one thing i missed, it's those moments between friends...
