Vietnam - Ha Long Bay D3 & D4

Picked up from our hotel around 9am in the morning to make our way to a small port. This was where we would board our boat to cruise around Ha Long Bay for the next day and a half.

A few happy snaps as we cruised from the port to areas around the bay. Unfortunately it was rather gloomy and rained for awhile. So photos were not as good.

A few activities were included as part of this cruise package (with Lavender Cruise) such as cave exploring, hiked Ti Top Island to a spot where you can see panoramic view of Ha Long Bay, canoeing and topped with awesome food on board.

On the day we left the cruise, by the time we arrived back in Hanoi, it was around 5pm. Our overnight train to Dong Ha was not until ~10pm. Stored our luggage in the train station area (looked very dodgy and the staff were trying to rip us off!!). Two of us decided to get a last minute massage and whereas me, went out to explore (and hunt for more food :P).

Vietnam - Hanoi D1 & D2

D1 - Arrival day

Not much of an event apart from trying to get to Grab on the driver side. In Vietnam, they are driving on right hand side of the road but the driver itself sits on the left hand side of the car.

D2 - Exploring Hanoi

We explored Ho Hoan Kiem Lake in the morning, where B & Tammy kept getting stopped by random strangers trying to practice their English, then off to a massage, where we were forced to give more tips than what we would like..

Lunch was some random hotpot in a touristy area for B & Tammy while I opted for classic pork and rice.

While the two of them took a nap in the afternoon, I went for a wonder to check out a Catholic Church around the hotel and finished off the night exploring night market with a nice bbq dinner Viet style (plus chuox pastry as dessert).

Reminiscing good old time..

I am backkk!! Here we are in 2018. Half of the year has gone.. TBC..

A New Life in a New State

Exactly past 12.30pm as I wrote this, it has been 24 hours since I officially moved to Port Hedland, WA.

How do I feel? A mixed feeling.. Uneasy and uncomfortable. I know noone and I am a complete stranger here. This is only my second time setting foot in WA. The only difference is I am here to live permanently the second time..

It hasn't been an easy first day. Found out my temporary washing machine is mouldy (hence I need to do my washing manually), no hot water, my tv can't play my hard disk and people play music till 6 - 7am in the morning!!

Ooh, forgot to mention that I still have no idea what time I need to be at work on Monday morning. Great, right?

Deep breath! It can't get any worse than this. I can do this!! There must be a valid reason behind all these "cobaan".

What am I thinking?

As I am typing this, I am waiting to board my flight back to woop woop. I can't believe it is the end of my 1 month holiday. Time sure flies. I don't think I have done much in the last month of 2015, apart from hanging out and spending time with Mum and Dad. Oh, and a wedding of course. Not mine though!

What's on my mind right now? Hmm.. So much about not going back to work. Here I am, a month later. Going back to the same place. The place that is "sinking". Very unmotivated. I should motivate myself for the sake of brighter, debt free and independent future, as well as build my savings so that I can travel this year.

As per another thing that has been bothering my mind, I need to resolve this and be honest. Let's hope it will be a good outcome. Please understand my situation too..
