Hee, hello all. Just thought I post something to keep the blog alive, who knows, might even start the habit of daily blogging again =p.
I've already forgotten what happened between February and October, so I'll just be highlighting a couple of things.
So grandma passed away, and I went back to Singapore for a couple of days. Enjoyable time in catching up with relatives, sad in seeing grandma's corpse. All in all, I had a good time.
Picked up soccer. Been playing since March actually. Started as a way to bond between my housemates, since they are soccer fans. Picked up many things from them, even learnt that my greatest strength is in my speed heh. They usually kick a long ball and get me to chase it, hoping I'll put in a nice cross to the striker. Other than that, I've been sloppy with my physical fitness.
Studies are fine. Been coasting along, so I get by. This semester has been quite easy heh. Should do well. We'll see.
Shel and I are fine, still going out, still working things out. Don't expect to hear wedding bells soon =p.
So summary of it all, same old, same old. I'm still the same old me.

Hmmm, wonder how many people comes back here to read. Been really lazy to post my day-to-day happenings. Life was kinda routine for the past 3 months. Sleep late, wake up late, have lunch, do Bible study/go out/play games, dinner, call Shel, sleep. Very simple and monotonous life.
Met up with ex-classmates and gasped at the fact its been 6 years since secondary school! Yes, age is catching up...
But now I'm back and the house is a mess. It still is even though its been a week since I'm back. Too much stuff around, and most aren't even ours. Be getting a new PC soon. Maha said can get it around $1400, so thats quite a good price for a reasonable set-up.
Shel closed her blog. Said she won't have the time to post anything.
Ok, think I've lost the art of blogging... this post is turning random...till next time..

Yup, safe and sound in Singapore, decided to revamp and update the blog once again!
I guess I should write abit on what I learnt in convention. The first impression I got of the campsite were the killer flies who swamped and irritated you all the day long. My group was quite a chatty bunch, but all that meant nothing since Shel wasn't around =(... But never mind, the various activities kept me busy. One of the interesting things about the campsite was the chapel. It was one of those ancient chapels with really high ceilings. I think it was designed that way to make you feel small. In the same way, when we stand before God, we should keep in mind the greatness of God and the limitations of humanity. Well that was my lesson from convention. Of course, Eugene and Graham were great speakers, somehow balancing and complementing each other. Message-wise and workshop-wise, I learnt a great deal more than last year. Great job guys!
AGM was inspiring, as always, and I've learnt of a weakness in myself. I realised that I've always been looking for a model in my life, so as to be able to just follow how they do things and take things easy... alas, God showed me through various circumstances that things were not to be that way. Life is a journey, and this MY journey. While I can have role-models, I have to go through this journey myself, sometimes dealing with things even my mentors can't teach me of. Of course, I am not alone and with God as my guide, I can go through this!
So, all in all, the reason for the change in template. Decided to accept the fact that life IS a journey, and this blog is my own breathing space, a space to rest, relax, laugh, procrastinate and contemplate. Till the next post...

Been a while since I blogged (this seems to be a repeated pattern and phrase), kinda missed blogging regularly, but not able to since I tend to forget my thoughts quickly these days. Anyway, feel kinda pent up right now and need some sort of a sounding board.
My current favourite song is one from Relient K "More Than Useless". It truly reflects what I feel every time this season of the year....
More Than Useless
I feel like, I would like
To be somewhere else doing something that matters
And I'll admit here, while I sit
My mind wastes away and my doubts start to gather
Whats the purpose
It feels worthless
So unwanted like I've lost all my values
I can't find it
Not in the least bit
And I'm just scared, so scared that I'll fail You
And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why,
Why I'm even here at all
But then You assure me
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
So if I say if I can't
Do something significant
I'll opt to leave most opportunities wasted
And nothing trivial
That life could give me will
Measure up to what might have replaced it
Too late look, my date book
Is packed full of days that were empty and now gone
And I bet, that regret
Will prove to get me to improve in the long run
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
I'm a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna be the day
Gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once
I noticed, I know this
Week is a symbol of how I use my time
Resent it, I spent it
Convincing myself the world's doing just fine
Without me
Doing anything of any consequence
Without me
Showing any sign of ever making sense
Of my time
It's my life
And my right
To use it like I should
Like He would
For the good
Of everything that I would ever know

Hmmm been a while since I updated... nothing much has been going on... except for uni and assignments, Shel, soccer, yeah... that basically summed up my days...
Just want to thank God for Strategic Management, passed all the tutes I handed up, so can almost smell the 5%... also thank God for the essay on NPOs I did last sem, did pretty well for that too, 61% I think... now gotta buck up on CFT, my only worry this sem... better put it the effort to match.
Had a pretty good day. Highlight of the day was going over to Shel's impromptu. Decided to visit Auntie Merrilyn and Grandma Teague. Grandma kinda reminded me of my own grandma, I think they are suffering from the same sickness, but grandma got better. Hopefully, the same will be said of Grandma.
Afterwards, Shel and I decided to head towards The Parade for dinner, but did some grocery shopping first. Been quite a while since I had dinner with Shel some place other than the city or Chinatown. So that was quite refreshing, ended the day with Cibo Gelateria...yummy...
Anyways, back to CFT... haiz...

Something in me rekindled last night during OCF. You see, we had our combined meet, and were shown a dvd of Switchfoot songs and some interview thingy, which was cool, but that wasn't my dream. Prior to the meet, I thought that there was going to be a Switchfoot cover band playing live. I love live bands, more so if they're Christian bands, so I was abit disappointed, but the event moved smoothly and was fruitful as well, with 2 salvations. Anyway, back to my dream...
Every now and then, as I pass by Barr Smith Lawns, I see a stage in my mind. On that stage was a band, leading a crowd of students in worship. Not just a 100 people crowd, but a crowd so large that it'll fill the entire lawn. I've always thought that it would be great if the various ministries in Uni could come together for an event like this, not just for praise and worship, but for a convention/seminar kinda thing, a seminar where Uni students come together to pray for their generation, for their Uni, for their friends, comitting their lives to Him and serving Him. Heck, why stop with a one day prayer and worship event? Let there be teachings, not just sermons, but workshops, classes, seminars... but imagine.... a body of believers worshipping God in Uni, standing tall for Him... I think that will be what heaven is like... Africans, Chinese, Australians, Americans, Germans...
I used to feel really overwhelmed and excited whenever I think of such an event happening.. especially here in Adelaide... but last night, I felt peace. I felt that such an event was possible and need not remain a dream or idea. I believe if the ministries in Uni come together, putting aside all differences, we will have the resources. EU, UniVerse and CCM are church-backed, OCF has churches backing us as well... its possible!! If only we have the unity.
That said, I don't think I can achieve it in my term, but I can build the foundation. I really hope I can have opportunities in working together with the other ministries, or at least get to know their heads. I will continue to pray over this dream. Revival from the South can occur if we have the unity to come before God together, not just the ministries and their churches, but even other churches. It'll take a unified effort to win Adelaide and our Uni for God.
Let it be Lord, let it come to pass...

How can I put into words what has happened over the past few days? God really came through for me, reminding and convicting me of things I knew but had neglected. It really is kairos, a God appointed time for me in more ways than one.
Went to Koorong this morning for a quick look, ended up spending about an hour there. The need for next year's Bible study materials looms heavily on my heart, as well as discipleship materials. While we can differentiate our members, catering to what they need, I find it hard to dissect the Word. Categorizing certain parts of the Bible as "suitable" or "unsuitable" for our members is presumptious. I only hope that whatever that we cannot cover, they will cover themselves in QT. It is my desire that we feed meat this term. Meat that our members can chew and struggle on, yet leave them satisfied.
Anyway, I bought The Pleasures Of God(John Piper), Christian Basics(John Stott), Celebration Of Discipline(Richard Foster) and a Graham Kendrick CD pack.
