MEET THE FOUNDER OF HAPPIX
I'm a documentary film editor turned wedding photographer, based in London, Ontario. What brought me to wedding industry is the vibe of the wedding day, surrounded with people filled with happiness. Its an honour to become a part of your happiest day in your life.
MY STORY
When I first shot my first wedding while I was a college student, I wasn't planning to become a wedding photographer. But when that couple saw the output and came back with more friends, something clicked.
My background in documentary film editing is still how I approach every wedding. I'm not going to ask you to pose stiffly or manufacture moments that aren't real. Instead I'll give you a scenario, make you laugh, get you both actually connecting — and capture what happens naturally. The best photos come from real moments.
What I promise every couple is this — no surprises. From the first consultation I'll be upfront about what you actually need, how many hours makes sense for your day, and exactly what you're getting. I'd rather be honest with you upfront than show a low number and charge more later.
Xavier, was very good at communicating with us about the process, that what we should expect, what the turnaround time was, what we were going to be given, who was going to be where, where we should be. And the day of, I found that the photographers were very specific with what they wanted and that helped alleviate, I guess, some of our, like, we didn't need to do any of the posing. The whole team was very efficient at organizing all the shots and all the material. And I felt that the team was very professional in getting all the shots and the pictures and stuff like that. And they had very good coverage of the event. I mean, the drone shots were very pretty. Yeah. And we're very happy with, in general, with our pictures and, and with the videos, you know, we were able to give feedback and make any changes that we needed to, to make sure that the final product is exactly what we wanted.
