Happy Fall Equinox! Summer is officially over, so now it’s time to begin the season of cozy reading, my absolute favorite time of the year — the Fall!

Below are some titles that I am personally looking forward to checking out this Fall, most of which land in the science fiction, fantasy, horror, roleplaying, graphic novels, classics, historical fiction, and non-fiction categories and their respective subgenres. The first list of books is presented in order of release date from September 2026 through November 2026. A new film adaptation of Jane Austen‘s classic 1811 novel Sense and Sensibility is hitting theaters this October, and with it comes a new movie poster cover tie-in paperback edition of the novel from Penguin Books, as well as a new hardcover Puffin in Bloom Deluxe Edition. Details about these new print editions are below, along with a list of other fun related items, such as a trivia game, mugs, tote bags, lip balm, and much more.

Directed by Georgia Oakley from a screenplay by Diana Reid, the new movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Esmé Creed-Miles, Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, George MacKay, and Fiona Shaw. Sense and Sensibility opens in theaters in the United Kingdom on September 25, 2026, with its United States opening moved now to October 16, 2026.

You know how everyone says all things come back around? I usually disregard that, as it normally applies to things like Members Only jackets and bell-bottom jeans. In this particular case, however, it means that two of my all-time favorite authors from my early teens are back writing in one of my favorite settings. I speak of none other than Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman bringing the world of Krynn to life, yet again. The Dragonlance books were a staple of my early fantasy reading, as I read the original trilogy as they released them and almost every single other book based in Ansalon and neighboring continents. It was an absolute delight to trek back into the past and see what the future holds for this franchise. Dragonlance: War Wizard is the first in a new series and if you are like me, you were ecstatic to hear about it coming out. Please allow me to talk your ears off about it.

This year, Star Trek celebrates the 60th anniversary since the airing of its first television episode, “The Man Trap,” on September 8, 1966 on NBC. It is a glorious time for all Baldur’s Gate fans! You don’t have to be a Dungeons & Dragons nerd like me to like the video games, but it certainly does not hurt! I will admit, I was an addict of BG2 wayyyyyy back in the day. All of this is not just nostalgic, but it is also far more interesting, as the stories have greater depth. Oh, and speaking of stories and depth, check out all of the tie-ins for Baldur’s Gate we are getting this year! Some of these are out now, while others are coming very soon.
