Alejandro Otero is another addition to the long list of Venezuelan-made Adonises. Buffed and with a face that can launch a thousand ships, he was the toast of the town when he was proclaimed Mr. Venezuela 1999 succeeding Ernesto Calzadilla. . The contest was a big achievement for him having top caliber candidates lurking around the periphery. (photos from RCTV.net)

Alejandro Otero went to Crieff Perthshire to join Mr World 2000. He failed to bring home the bacon as Uruguay 's Ignacio Kliche Lombardi zoomed his starswagon to the top. Little did he know that the little bleep in his stars screen was just an anomaly, as TV offers deluge him when he came back in Venezuela.

Obviously one of the benifit of winning a Venezuelan title is the chance to join showbuisness and Alejandro made it with flying colors. Filmography for Alejandro Otero includes La Cuaima, La Mujer de Judas, Ser Bonita No Basta, and Te Tengo Salsa. (photo Daniel Machado)
