Engaging Faith Leaders as the Foundation for Lasting Change

“Long before development organizations find their way into remote villages,” explained Angel Venegas, Senior Program Officer, Latin America & the Caribbean Livelihoods & Resilience at Episcopal Relief & Development, “there is already a pastor or lay leader who knows every family by name.” Angel supports partnerships across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Honduras. “This is not incidental to our work at Episcopal Relief & Development,” he continued. "It is the work.”

    In partnership with the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury, Anastasiia leads a cultural program for Ukrainians in Wiesbaden, Germany Anastasiia’s work at the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury in Germany is supported by Episcopal Relief & Development’s partnership with the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe. Together, we work to help Ukrainian refugees, and people from all over the world, honoring their culture while adapting to a new one.

  • Preserving a Way of Life for Quilombola Communities in the Amazon

    Across Brazil, Quilombola communities face unique challenges related to the effects of a changing climate and ongoing struggles to secure official titles to their traditional lands. Episcopal Relief & Development works in and with Quilombola communities as part of our Climate Resilience program partnership with the Diocese Anglicana da AmazÃīnia.
